Concept2 Utility 7 with Omnikey 3121

Postby taveewat » October 13th, 2017, 1:08 am

According to C2 not support concept2 utility 6.9 anymore then I have to move from 6.99 and windows XP to C2 utility7 and windows 8.1.
I can transfer rowing log properly from my pm3 but when I connect my omnikey card reader, it show "no device connected".
I try to used both driver that I downloaded from HID global website and automatic installed driver that come with windows 8.1, both have the same problem.

Just because it's not supported doesn't mean you can't run it unless they change the interface for the logbook to make in incomptible.

Did the OmniKey drivers install a Windows control panel widget?

I had the same issue the first couple of times I installed Utility 7.08.01.
After ininstalling and reinstalling twice (perhaps with a reboot) it worked and has worked
since then. I am on Windows 10 and not 8.1.

Does Windows install an OmniKey driver automagically?

Try inserting your Logcard in the reader before you plug the USB plug into your laptop.

Thanks for all suggestions but it didn't work. Another problem is when I connected PM3 to C2 utility , it showed connected but I can't select any check boxes. I log out and log in again and verified my ranking ID but I still cannot upload my results.
The message show error in log book server.

Problem solved, just change the text format in windows appearance to English.

Then you definitely need to contact Concept2 to get them to explore the nasty little bug you've found in their code.

Interesting....I’ve got a 3121 as well and thought it had failed.

Mine is recognized by the C2 app, but it keeps telling me to insert a card. Is this what you were experiencing?
