at least it is done Jack - it is a long way for me too I am afraid
mine tonight was 38:59.7 (just had to get under 39!)
Terry was 39:39.5 in boat 1 right now!
I started a recruiting conversation at the gym with a likely looking lady but she didn't take the bait yet and have challenged some of Lizh's dragon boat team to no effect yet either.

Good luck trying to get anyone interested in July's CTC!

Seriously, if they can't think of anything, just give us a 5k

Terry discovered after the 10k that we had made the classic error of not checking the dates on the PM for his 10k so he can't rank it as the code doesn't match!! It is about 90" faster than anyone so far this season in his age/lwt group so he is a bit irritated. Looks like we will have to do it again tomorrow night unfortunately!!

That's one of the reasons to use Ergdata. It will ask if you want to fix the PM5 clock when it doesn't match you phone's time-of-day clock.

He can still rank it, not verified. He still did it.

I don’t have to wonder if this thing done full bore would leave me a lump of quivering snot ( ) but I like the participation angle so I’ll do it—@ 5k pace. \ :D /

yes we will be able to use it easily when the new gym machines arrive soon with shiny PM5s but not so easy at the moment.

He can still rank it, not verified. He still did it.

yes you are right of course Henry but we both much prefer a verified piece when you are logging one at the top of the rankings. I reckon shouldn't be allowed in the top 10% at least. This one of Terry's was by far the fastest in the world this season and a bit disrespectful to others to not verify it. There was a notorious example that I have only just been able to have C2 remove from the past few years. Happy to use it for CTC, Nonathlon etc but not the proper rankings.

So we went back at it today and checked the date first. Terry managed to get it down to 39:30.1 so 9" faster as well as a proper code!!
I took it a little easier than Monday and 39:23.

A guy like him pulling that is not doubtfull, its fully in line with other ranked pieces, only if you rank post stuff and never back that up its doubtfull.
My idea was more, a very hard row and doing that again shortly after... Maybe there is more if he can do it twice in a row.

yes I agree he has the runs on the board and it simply matched his March one but we like the integrity of the verification system. Terry is just a machine I guess and he was always going to be faster the second time - just went out a bit faster with the confidence of Monday behind him. First split 1:58.8 down to last 1:58.2. I bought him a HRM for his birthday recently just to see what he could do - got to 159 tonite which is the highest so far - he was 156 on Monday. By the time we had done a 1k cool down he walked away <100.

I get it ofcourse. Its more that I like to trust a mans word.

Re verification. On this case that easily be fooled. Use a row from a faster rower..... Make it a team effort. Etc...

So yes verified and yes rowed, but zero proof for the verification pushers.

Cold start CTC after 11 days off the erg. Strictly seat filler.

Great time by Mr. Woodley in boat 2! Dispatched that chore in a hurry, Graham.
