Altitude training
As the title says i'm gonna spend 7 days at altitude, what are the workouts to do to maximize the training effect? I will have just running and maybe a static bike if i m fortunate.
Re: Altitude training
I don't think it matters. Just being at altitude, with the lower O2 is the training effect. I always heard that if you "sleep at altitude, train at sea level", that is the best way.
I live at sea level, but go to Colorado every summer for a couple weeks to climb 14,000' peaks. It takes about 2 days before I'm not feeling my lungs gasping for O2, but after that, I'm good. Slower, sure, but not hurting. What I try to do is get in some hard workouts when I'm back at sea level to take advantage of my "improved" blood before it returns to "normal".

Re: Altitude training
Altitude training is not straightforward, and many get no bump in performance at all.
