Rough day. Rough week. Let's just say I did a "taper" workout today.

Erg out on the patio, bit chilly but not too bad. Session this evening was a 10k r22 with target of 1.53

10k - 37.35.0 - avg 1.52.7 - 22

7.32.0 - 1.53.0 - 22 - 140 end HR
7.31.6 - 1.52.9 - 22 - 148
7.31.8 - 1.52.9 - 22 - 151
7.31.7 - 1.52.9 - 22 - 155
7.27.9 - 1.51.9 - 22 - 156

Quite pleased with this session, wasn't 100% effort and HR tells me top end UT1. Sub 37 r22 not far away.
Age 60 - 6' 4" - 108kg

Cheers Henry and Anth.

Yes, starting to feel familiar but I think it does help when you've done it already in the past.

Aussieluke: Decided this will be my last post in this thread for a while - not a flouncy exit, just going to stop posting basic SS workouts here as they no doubt bore everyone and don't bring anything interesting - plus I think it may sometimes make me push a bit harder than I should just to not post a crappy time - even though there is absolutely no obligation to post anything. Just going to try and get on with it for a bit and do my low rate steady state 10ks as often as possible.

I'll start posting my workouts again when I start doing something vaguely interesting!

Really, out of thousands who train on C2 ergs, only a very few ever post in these forums, let alone this thread. And only a handful post over any sustained time. It's probably no accident. If over one hundred posted every day, it would be quite hard to follow one another. If posting here works for someone in some way, then do it. If not, then let it go for a while or forever. Seek alternatives.

Yeah some vanish into thin air it seems!! What happened to Larryrow? even though i never chimed in much on his thread i was following him on his quest to go sub 7 2k. That all seems to have fizzled out and he's gone.

IP said 50' UT2. I went 3 x 20' UT2/1. Felt a little better today. I am swimming in bit of uncertainty at the moment about the event I was planning to row on Feb 04. Finding reasons to consider not attending. Need to push those thoughts away.

I have considerable faith in you, Glenn! I see you doing a lot of considered, smart training. Besides, I'm personally invested. A 3.20 1k is my first TT target and should I get it, and you break 7mins in the meantime, I'll likely tick off the 7min 2k too without actually doing it - you having done it for me vicariously. :D I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

2x 16mins UT1 (2min rest)

2:06.0 r22 155
