above knee amputee new to rowing

Postby susandoesconcept » February 1st, 2017, 8:24 pm

I'm a 62 year old above knee amputee. I just got a concept 2 rower. I'm having a few problems and am wondering if there are any other above knee amputees out there? I think my range of motion is restricted by my socket. Also, I get a blister after only 10 minutes of rowing. I'm thinking of taking off my prosthetic leg. Anyone with any suggestions/feedback/ideas? THANKS!

I salute you, Susan. I'm a new indoor rower with two good legs and after watching the adaptive sessions of the recent Crash B sprints, I was both humbled and inspired.
