Hi Rick, you're not wrong. BIRC (British Indoor Rowing Championships) last took place in 2013 and did disappear for 2014 but came back as BRIC (British Rowing Indoor Championships) twice in 2015 (Feb? and Dec) and each year thereafter. British Rowing have taken over the running of it, obviously targeting the schools but the old and the bold get let loose on the ergs early doors. There's normally a smattering of GB rowers in the open event and a series of 500m sprint races and relay's follow the 2k racing. At the moment they've been using the Olympic Velodrome in London's Olympic park and as far as I know that's it's 'home' for the near future.

Enjoyed both your write ups and congratulations on the hammer ;-)

Thanks for the update. I thoroughly enjoyed going over there to compete at BIRC, the first time with the USA team and the next seven times being hosted by erging friends at their homes (Steve Green, Carole McNally, Roy Brook and Garf Roberts). It's too bad that Roy isn't still in London or I might go over there and beg him to let me stay with him again for the BRIC. B)

Please do! On facebook it looks like he and Dolly are everywhere except London. Glad to hear that he still has a home base there.
