Re: Signature question
It's not the times that are the issue per se. When I go to that website I see the changes I made in March and last night too for that matter. For instance, I updated my age from 44 to 47 in March. And although it's there in my profile... I'm still 44 when I post. I guess I was a little sloppy in my ...

Signature question
I changed my signature some time ago... March I think. However, When I preview posts I see the old signature and the old personal bests. This started out as a new PB post (7730 in 30 minutes) but now it's a signature question. How the heck do I get the new signature on the posts? I double checked an...

1 year anniv
1 year ago today was first time rowing on my Model D. I'm now 1.7 million meters and gearing up for winter, which is a better rowing time for me. There's just too much other stuff to do in the summer! There's now a certified instructor in my area and I may make a visit there. As I approach the start...

variable distance intervals ?
One of the workouts that came on my PM3 is a variable distance interval starting with 2000 followed by 1500, 1000, 500 with 3 min rest. I really like the workout as the decreasing intervals allow me to set a moderately fast pace and row for each interval. Is there a way on the PM3 to create other va...

I'm not too worried about bragging. I don't think anyone really cares much about my times. It's just kind of fun to get a little acknowledgement of progress made... particularly for a newbie ! With that in mind 500m 1:35.9 IIRC that's about 1.5 seconds faster than before. This was at a drag factor o...

I'm not much of one to give marathon training advice. I Just tried to row some longish sets, maybe 10k plus another 5-7 in warm up/warm down. I did that several times in trying to finish out the million. I probably had a few sets in the mid 20's as well. All interval sets with plenty of rest. I did ...

It was raining, the ACC basketball tourney was on, and I was well rested. So I did my first marathon. Leg cramps with 8k to go slowed me down a bit. From that point on it was just survive and finish. My time wasn't anything to write home about, but what the heck? I was surprised that I had no signif...

1st million
Well, I finished off my first million this evening. I started 10/27/07 and had hoped to finish before the end of February, but circumstances intervened. The next million will take longer. Spring is coming quickly to South Carolina. I'll be running more, flying more, and just generally being outside....
