Re: Chain Slackness

Very good. You have established a beachhead on Concept2siana. Your surmise about quantity of cord is correct; need one only. Additional problem: fourth stroke vid, chain retracts b4 you pull on the drive but 1-way clutch bearing in the bore of the flywheel does not engage. Back to C2 for maintenance...

Re: Forum Flyers

Kyle Voorhees?🤔 Yep, another (and last) Voorhees addition. Linda convinced our younger son Josh...and then sibling rivalry convinced our older son Kyle! I am in Boat 3, and they are both in Boat 4. Not sure how long that is going to last...as there is talk of another try by both of them...a lot of ...

Re: Forum Flyers

Linda got game‼️ Major meter muncher especially on the bikeerg. And now a Voorhees clan dynasty? Press ganging with or without arm twisting has its uses. And aint nobody happy til Mama’s happy, so . . . Nice piece of work, Josh.

Re: Forum Flyers

Only need two more rowers (of any type) in this month's CTC challenge to float our 5th boat. My wife is in the boat still waiting at the dock, and she is not happy about it  So for the team's sake...and mine...let's go :-) --Marc Gotta kiss a lot of impressive frogs while waiting for the less...

Re: PM5 legs don't fit onto each other when assembling

I remember the front leg not going together particularly smoothly when I assembled mine, and at the time wondering if I had the legs reversed. In the product images displayed on C2 and on the web, there seems to be variance in which leg is installed on top of the other. I don't think it really matt...

Re: Wil my butt ever stop hurting?

The modern concept 2 seat has no indents for ischial tuberosities. It is likely that those bones are bothering you. Also known as the sitz bones. Solutions are stacking the C2 foam pads and removing the cutouts, trying some of the many foam products out there to see if they cushion it adequately, f...

Re: Wil my butt ever stop hurting?

The time-honored solution in sliding seat boats is relief holes or depressions in the seat to reduce the pressure and kneading action of the sitz bones on glute tissue. C2 doesn’t use them on their celebrated simulator. Maybe the Bros. D think you should cowboy up and enbrace the pain. I think with ...

Re: PM5 legs don't fit onto each other when assembling

That's good (C2 is known for their customer service) but as I've said here before, it would have been even better if the parts had been manufactured properly in the first place. Hopefully they're pick up their QC game and prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future. All right that’s put...

Re: PM5 legs don't fit onto each other when assembling

Case it dont work out with C2, these hear bolts iz the berries in a tight corner. https://i.postimg.cc/VL1k9rsD/F35522-F4-D950-420-B-9-D6-E-E19-FACEDACEB.jpg Whatever you do, dont pull the holes or you surely will be askin Carl if he got sum a them fender washers left over from his last engineering ...

Re: PM5 legs don't fit onto each other when assembled

Well lads, there’s center to center and there’s edge distance to center. OP got all four bolts started with the flange of the long leg stood off from flange of short leg. He could prolly grind off the interfering edge to produce alignment and send the bolts home but pestering C2 about the fabricatio...

Re: Forum Flyers

I like Ockerby’s sequence. Assuming that rate restriction may inflate overall elapsed time for most, seems logical to limit that foreseeable effect by choosing free rate for the long bit and avoiding protracted exposure to r20. BICBW(rong). Thoughts?

Re: Wheel roller stuck under monorail model c

Early model D with that rotolock. Time for judicious application of BFH or maybe rubber or nylon headed mallet a better choice. Budge, bend or break are all possibilities so make a few exploratory taps b4 getting aggressive.

Re: Forum Flyers

Hlo All, it's been a while. About a decade I think. Hope you're all well. I joined a gym this month and started rowing again. No real competitions in sight yet so plenty of time to catch up. I'm slow. I see Chris the Meerkats is still around. How do I rejoin tbe amazing FF team? Kris https://moores...
