Re: Foot/ankle pain

Built in incline of slide toward handle 3-4°. Place 1/4” shim under rear feet or get a cheap inclinometer to see what’s what with the slide and shim as necessary.

Re: Weird noise on Model D

Get back up in the tunnel and check the entire chain path. Chain can be off the idler pulley and riding the idler shaft OR the idler pulley can wear out and the v-sheave disintegrate and the chain riding on the remains of the pulley.

Re: Weird noise on Model D

Could be the plexi splash shield/noise baffle which should seat on the flanges of the u-channel housing the chain and chain return mech is riding on one or more rivnuts which receive the machine screws that secure the rear strut of the front leg and contacting the chain links. Get underneath, inspec...

Re: What would you pay?

There are 700USD model D’s on fleabay (US) at current time (2 Jan ‘22). But shipping rates are dear on private sales. As is gojuice for local pickup. Impecunious savants are welcome to savor the fruits of scavenging in the bins or estate sales but should bear in mind that earning money for fully fun...

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. The two biggest barriers were my butt and my left hand. Otherwise, it was quite exhilarating. Hi Guys, I look forward to next month's challange with the 6k TT. On this month's 1k challange I'm not particularly strong but I could post a time just to float another boat, would that help?

Re: Considering my 1st HM

Pace differential 30 to 60” is low. Testament to endurance. Start @ 2:13. You will know by 18k if 2:13 av is possible. Hydrate b4, sparingly during, and preferably on stroke recovery. HM too short to lose pace to static breaks and energy bar smorgasbord.

Thanks Toddy. Always good to hear from old hands. The team needs youth and speed and making rowing a family affair sure helps on that front.
