Re: Good experience using the EndureRow seat!

Jsarche writes: Some of the testimonials on the EndureRow web site are from people saying they are faster with the seat. I don't think I could make that claim. I just know that feeling locked into position and more connected to the machine makes for a more efficient stroke, and I feel better on this...

Yeah, the ‘multiples of 5’ thing worked out swell.
I was thinking the same
If wishes were horses . . . .

Good try for 8 boatloads.

Maybe the 🥶K for December will produce the missing link?

I still owe you all a row. Pencilled in for tonight after work, after I ran out of time over the weekend.

But I'm sure someone else will come along and help out before then :).

Re: Where can I improve my technique

As hinted at in responses above, your ‘sit up and beg’ catch position cannot get your shoulders past your knees ( rockover to 1 of the clock face) at catch. You compensate by closing included angle thigh to shin to <90° to bring handle closer to chain gate but you still limit effective handle travel...

Re: Forum Flyers

Hey Marc. On the bionic woman front, Jean was given an optimistic prognosis for recovery and full use of knee joints. I can surmise that, barring sepsis and surgical ‘revision’ (horrible euphemism for FUBAR imo), degree of recovery depends on time and attention given to rehab. Hard to miss Linda’s a...

Re: Forum Flyers

Jean can’t. Getting new knees one for Xmas one for the New Year. Got a hybrid “transport” chair (no drive band wheels) for her last week. She mostly pushes it around the house as she’s done with grocery carts for a couple yrs. That mad minute can’t be more than 35 strokes with the dead wheel start (...

Re: Leg Drive

In ergdata you can see peak and average force, stroke length and speed, which could help. Half your weight, 70% of height and speed 2m/s should be seen. As for technique, make sure your slide is not too far forward, keeping the knee angle open. The recovery sequence (arms, swing, slide) is critical...

Wow! VERY impressive results for a couple Forum Flyers in this month's CTC Challenge. Thus far out of nearly 400 rowers, Martin Stoeger is 7th and Dirk Moller is tied for 10th. --Marc And it looks like there is some good-spirited competition amongst Martin and Dirk - I see that Dirk just pulled ahe...

Re: Forum Flyers

Jsarche- I have watched numerous Dark Horse rowing videos on You Tube, but have never gone to their website. I have to check out the workouts you mentioned. Always on the lookout for motivation. I am a fan of the Concept2 podcasts. The woman who does them (Cady) is not rah-rah/annoying, and has a n...

He mentioned on more than one occasion that he routinely replaced the roller shaft end bracket/shaft hangers when he replaced rollers. My experience wi...

Sounds like an spiritual property squabble? Chandisingh has the code copyrights and the more demonstrably passionate members of sub7 have been known to claim special privilege by virtue of having been present at the moment of the striking of the creative spark. Could get expensive. Will this require...

I am 15 years old, 5 foot 8, and 140 pounds. My current 2k time is 185 watts which is 8:15,and my goal is to get my 2k under 8 minutes. If I row at a 24 the whole time how many watts do I need to get sub 8 minutes Hi Funktion, 8 min 2k = 2:00/500m pace = 202.5 Watts. https://www.concept2.com/indoor...
