Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Currently resting an injured shoulder. Wish I could have contributed more meters. Still working out on the eliptical.

Heather, no significance to Sam qoute, took it from a cartoon.

Good luck all, great rowing.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

My main goal is not to get injured. Have been excercising 6 to 7 day a week (not all ski erg) for couple of months.Feel in great shape. I am prone to injury in these competitions as my brain makes promises my body can't keep.

Going to try and ski 6 to 7k a day in addition to my other workouts.

Re: Concept 2 is a REALLY GREAT COMPANY!

I have one complaint regarding their customer care. If you return equipment it can take a while before your money is returned. Currently 8 days since I returned a rowing machine, customer care informs me that the return has not yet been processed and cannot even give me an approximate date as to whe...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Where is the darn spell checker on this thing?? Have been rowing 10 years before the achilles problem, so don't give the rowing up easily. Had tried many things, including rowing with just the one leg. Wasn't the best, but an option. I had been pain free for quite a while before I started usi...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Unfortunately won't be rowing anymore. The new rower (despite cautiously rowing few meters) has aggrevated my achilles. Feels like someone trying to cut my foot off with a rusty knife. Dr says I gotta stop :(, he said my body is telling me something -I think I know what it's saying. So back to the s...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Hope it's not the end of the world :o Just received my new C2 rower, so now I can choose to row or ski as my heart desires. Set up didn't go smoothly as I somehow picked German as the language of choice on the pm3. This was strange as I don't speak German. I had a choice of quickly learning the lang...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Our erg is broken...old and broken, kinda like my body. I think I may replace it, the erg not my body, with a SkiErg. Anyone here try one? How does it compare to rowing? Hi Mardix and welcome I bought my skierg couple of years ago after I injured my achilles rowing. I can definitely recommend it as...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Great going! That's an amazing jump!
Did you just do a 10K or 2 5Ks? Did you do it as a PB attempt?

This was two 5Ks, one in the morning and one in the evening. Unfortunately yesterday warming up for 500 meter PB ski has resulted in injury to groin/upper thigh :( Forced to rest today.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Had to post, another PB on 5K.... Took over 2 mins off

Can't beat that grasping for air rush... An incline didn't help, adjusting the damper helped a lot

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

I am doing the Tour De Ski Erg challenge. Was happy with my fastest 5K EVER today despite it being 6am. Then I saw how I compared on the honors board.... Apparently I am not going to make the next winter Olympics. Happy to have lost 10lbs since Thanksgiving (pants now fit well),my blood pressure now...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Thanks to Izz and Lisa for all the posts and motivation. I sold my rower just over year ago following an achilles tear. I have been Ski erging my meters since. Getting to "ski" these distances has been a challenge that I enjoyed with the help of this competition.

Go Timbuktoo......... :D
