Re: British Rowing Virtual Champs

In 2006 Euro Open at the Dam, Rocket Roy, Dennis HASTINGS et Moi, kicked his ass well and truly and he said afterwards that he was still the best in the world in spite of his finishing 4th.

Re: Hydration and cooling, esp. during a long TT

I don’t usually drink during sessions but in the past when I did marathons I got 4 cycling drinks bottles on the floor behind the Erg and took the tops off so they were effectively wide openings, I would then stop rowing every 10 km and take a good glut while stationery, keeping some in my mouth for...

Re: Road bike pedal compatibilty

Fitted a pair of Shimano double-sided pedals to my BikeErg, clips one side flat other side as I prefer sods and my wife just cycles in her trainers in case she falls off and can’t get her feet out of the clips🤪

Re: Chronic shoulder pain from rowing injury

If your physical therapists had done proper assessments, surely they would have been able to pinpoint the muscle/soft tissue causing the problem. Infraspinatus/teres minor appears to be a rotator cuff issue as these two along with subscapularis and suprapsinatus are the 4 muscles of the rotator cuff...

Re: Double Training Sessions?

I’m doing two sessions a day, most days at the moment but mixing the activities up. I run three times a week, up to 7km, the rest of the time I use the Erg and BikeErg. I usually Erg in the morning when I’m fresh and BikeErg later in the day. Sometimes I’ll Bike morning for an hour then do intervals...

Join a club. I joined a club near me in Cognac, France 3 years ago and eventually got on the water.
We go out in doubles, quads and eights twice a week and hopefully later this year will get the hang of a single scull.
Great environment and camaraderie plus helps with my French

BikeErg Paint Peeling and Corrosion

I have had my BikeErg since 13 September last year. I have used it regularly since then but with about a total of 8 weeks with no use during that time. The paint on the handlebar bracket to the stem has started to peel. The pedal cranks have also both started to get superficial corrosion on them. Th...

Re: [newbie] Second-handed Model D - What to look for?

Checklifetime metres on the monitor as well, plus there should be numbers underneath the fan casing to say when the machine was packaged. I bought a 20 year old machine model C in France last year and it had only done 31,000metres. Got it for €150 and was as smooth as you like. It had been stored in...

Try putting you BikeErg on shock absorbing floor mats
Have mine on a cheap yoga mat 5mm thick, no vibes
