Hey Ann: Yes I love my "moto" - not as fancy as yours, but my "Silver Beauty" is a joy to me. She's a 2004 883C Sportster, H-D. And I truly believe that my rowing has helped me to have the strength to handle her safely and enjoy my rides. A non-moto person asked me how long did I think I would ride....

Hi to all Ducks and lurking Forum rowers everywhere!! I have survived February, and look forward to March - perhaps this month will be a "normal" month - whatever that maybe!! All I know is that between my Federal Examiner coming in for three days starting 1-31 (instead of 4 hours like he implied), ...

Thanks for all the encouragement!! I successfully avoided the couch magnet Friday & Saturday, and intend to row when I get home today. I took yesterday off from work & spent time with a couple of gal friends. So that helped the mental condition too. It's a new week so try, try again! Paddle on lady ...

Greetings to All Ducks! Last week went very well - rowed 4 times, ran/walked twice to get on schedule for the 1/2. All hell was breaking loose at the office - my ATM machine ate about $200, and other assundry moderate disasters, yet I still held to keeping my exercise on track. This week I have not ...

Happy New Year! I usually consider a 30 min row my minimum, with 5 minutes each to warm up/cool down. So that totals out to 40 on the rower. Going 10K takes almost 1 hr, 15 min, so I don't always have time to row that long. I made time during the HC, but that was the exception, not my usual pattern....

Susan: Thanks also from Southern Indiana for being team captain for the JVC this year!! I pledge to row 3-4 times a week. I am aiming to run/walk the 1/2 marathon in St. Louis on April 15, so will be training 3-4 days a week for that. I intend to row the days I do not run/walk. The personal info for...

Hi to all Ducks! Paddle, Paddle, Paddle - only 32K or so to go to make the 200K HC for this year. What a wonder - barely made 100K last year, so feeling like I've really come a long way. Only bad spot on my bod is two calluses only my middle fingers - guess that's where I grip the handle too hard ov...

Hi Fellow Ducks! I'm just over 100K now, and am taking aim at the 200K for the HC. I usually row 1 hr+ at a time - slow and steady, and around 10K for each session, so this goal is possible. I may be putting in the last meters on the last day, but that's not uncommon from reading the Forum last year...

Hi to all the Quackers on the Forum or "lurking" like I have been lately!! I hadn't completely quit the erg - just not as faithful as I would like. I'm now about 35K for the HC, so jogging along, so to speak. I'm hoping to do more than 100K, but not sure about time & effort needed to do the 200K. A ...

Hi to all Ducks! My healthy habit plan has gone from too complicated to very simple & I think it is keeping me on track better. All I'm trying to do each day is at least 30 minutes of something to make me break a sweat! I am not picky about if it's walking, erging or walk/jog, so am trying to leave ...

Congrats Aiko! I'm hoping to get a million in this season - I had really slacked off in April, so need to get back at it since it's the new season! I just love being a Duck - and putting my goal in writing on this Forum really helps me get a focus & work towards it too. Happy Quacking in this new C2...

Susan: Those kids will get you in trouble every time! My grand daughter is the one who calls us on the carpet - why does Grandpa smoke now when he didn't used to?? Try explaining THAT to a very smart 13 yr old learning to "Just say NO"! Things are looking up for me - I'm getting back in the exercise...

Hi to everyone & so glad the Ducks are quacking in again on the new Forum! Susan: We ended up at Tunica because my Dearly Beloved (husband) didn't want to go to a) Daytona Beach for Bike Week b) anywhere on the FL panhandle or c) Vegas! Tunica is 15 miles south of Memphis, and only about 6 hours fro...

Hi to all Ducks! I was having major Forum withdraw when it was down as well as when I was on vacation at the beginning of the month. Way too many buffets at the casino hotels in Tunica, and no rower to be had in the workout room. What progress I'd made on my weight since getting my rower was quickly...
