Ranger,

If I understand correctly, the rowing ergomater stroke/technique you have been working on is more compatible with on water rowing than your stroke/technique used to be.

I don't completely understand the physicis and physiology of rowing on water vs rowing on the ergome...

I am interested in the physiological basis of the WP. I have read Seiler's pages (some of them have recently been updated too), but the connection between Seiler's pages and the WP aren't particularly clear to me.

Seiler's favorite rowing workouts?

"In the last two years, I fou...

I did find one post (Stephen Seiler) about a specific formula provided by Concept II. "This formula closely approximates the expected cubic relationship between power and velocity"

409 watts corresponds to 1:35 pace.
335.3 watts corresponded to 1:42 pace.

See more on <a hr...

Is there a way to convert watts to 500 meter pace? I am assuming that on the Concept II, the two are directly proportional in some way. I did a perfunctory google search and on this forum but didn't come up with anything.

Relatedly, are watts on the Concept II comparable to watts on the b...

Hi George,

Here's my experience. I have been tested 4 times over the last four years. Remarkably, the test results have been very similar each time (I'm either staying in good shape or not getting better, depending on your perspective). The lab where I get tested (in Bend, Oregon) tends to ba...
