Re: Low resting heart rate

I underwent minor surgery under general anaesthetic several years ago. As I was lying on the table in theatre, my hr showed as 48. That was with a surgeon firing up his drill, an anaesthetist pointing needles at me, and some nice young ladies dressed up in nurse's uniforms (my favourite!) Normal res...

Re: C_Breeze

That's quite a serious fan, Carl :o I had a C-breeze for a while. My gripe was that I couldn't get it to blow cool air over all of me, only on one side. At the end of a workout I resembled an antiperspirant commercial - one side dry as a bone, the other dripping wet. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but ...

Re: Yet another PC setup for RowPro

Similar here. I have an old Lenovo laptop, i3 processor and no dedicated graphics, Windows 8.1 with updates switched off, running RowPro 4.3. It's all a bit clunky but it works. If the laptop were to die I'd probably try to buy a cheap refurbed or 2nd-hand one of similar vintage to replicate this se...

Re: Any Concept 2 owners use RowPro?

I use RowPro for every session. As said above, the store of custom rows is good to have. That and the pace boat are my most-used features. I don't row online. Version 4.3, running on an old laptop that is used more or less just for this purpose. If it were to break down I'd probably replace it with ...

Lidl rowing machine

(For those outside Europe, Lidl is a German discount supermarket)

Their rowing machine looks very similar to the C2, with a couple of minor tweaks: https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/MiddleofLidl. ... 9890&ar=15

I assume there are enough differences to fend off any action for plagiarism?

Digital Rowing report an issue at their end. They're working on it.

Re: RowPro uploads not reaching C2 logbook

I shall see how tomorrow's workout does, and if still no joy I'll contact C2 and Digital Rowing.

RowPro uploads not reaching C2 logbook

Yesterday's workouts are not showing in my C2 online log despite RowPro telling me they've been uploaded. No error messages, no changes made to my PC setup etc.

Before I contact them - anyone else having this issue, or is it just me?

Re: Unfamiliar sound at the catch

Thanks guys. Come to think of it, although I do lube the chain I've not done so for a while. Hopefully that's all it is.

Unfamiliar sound at the catch

When back into position for the catch and next stroke ... a kind of "tick" sound from the front of the machine. Like someone flicking a piece of cardboard with their finger. Not very loud, and only noticed it because I hadn't yet put the music on. Don't remember it being there before. 10-year old mo...

Re: Rowpro suddenly stopped working

In case anyone else is experiencing it - RowPro was crashing on startup this morning, disabling the internet connection resolved it. As advised earlier in this thread.

Digital Rowing's website is down at the time of typing this.

Re: great shoe to use with the concept 2

I used to wear retired running shoes as well and like the OP found that the built-up heel was a hindrance. Now I just use cheap canvas deck shoes, daps, plimsolls, whatever you wish to call them. Cost £10 at the local supermarket, thin soles, near-zero cushioning and no heel raise. Mainly to protect...

Re: Flattery or copyright infringements?

Suspiciously similar, at least externally (and with what looks like a better monitor). But if you're going to spend £600 on it, why not stump up the remaining £250 for the real thing?

(C2s are getting cheaper. If I recall, my Model D cost £900+ when I bought it - more than 10 years ago.)

Re: Rowing in the shed

I wish I could afford something along the lines that Carl describes (although the house itself will have air circulation pumps - it's a so-called passive house - but I can't see a place to use the erg indoors; if I could, with the amount of heat and sweat I generate, half an hour on the machine will...
