Re: Forum Flyers

Great to see another South African on board. I was starting to feel a little lonely here! Dave Hey Dave. Nice to meet you as well. There doesn't seem to that many of us running 'rowwing' around here. :) Where are you based. I'm in Pietermaritzburg KZN. I'm in Cape Town, but was in East London for m...

Re: Forum Flyers

Hi all. Been doing CrossFit for about 5 months. Sat on a rower and the numbers suggested I was a natural world beater. Got really excited till I found a Concept2 rower. Now I'm just average  . That said, I'm keen to do some more of this rowing stuff. Looking forward to rowing with you guys. Gr...

Re: Forum Flyers

Boat 1 afloat, not by me I should say, Carol, who I train with at the gym. 666m flat out at 6am is not pleasant, might plan better the next attempt. Will get the kids going on this one as well, nice an easy and keeps them quiet for a bit Mr Moores, my error has been found and you should see the cor...

Re: Forum Flyers

No worries Georgie! I’ll still do the events because it’s a good excuse to knock off some ranking distances, plus a little lazy to go looking for other teams. :)

Re: Forum Flyers

Hi Chris Thanks for the stats, and sorry to be an annoying pedant, but I have 98 for Forum Flyers (including September) on my records. I seem to remember one falling off in one of your past updates. To help your checking I haven't missed a CTC since my Aug 2017 return from "sabbatical" (I don't reme...

Re: BikeErg and Zwift connection question

Hi Sue What are you using to run Zwift - a PC / Mac or a mobile device (iOS / Android)? You need to find a way to connect the PM5 to Zwift, and the Concept2 app won't help there. The Concept2 app just gives you additional information while you're riding, and makes it easier to upload to the logbook....

Re: Forum Flyers

Just joined the team. I am brand new to this team challenge concept. I am trying to hit 100k for the fall challenge. A few questions: 1. How do I participate with you all here: http://www.c2ctc.com/index.php? 2. Do we have any other communication mechanisms (slack, email, etc) or just this forum/th...

I can 100% guarantee that Forum Flyers will welcome you to their team as soon as they see your post.
Oops, we might be coming on a bit strong. People are starting to pick up on our patterns. :D

Re: How do I join a team?

Some teams operate on an invitation-only basis, but others are very open and welcoming. I'm lazy by nature, so I'll just pitch Forum Flyers as an open and welcoming one, and let some of the others weigh in if they feel like it. :)

Cheers

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

You can register directly on the C2CTC site (there are apparently some confusing messages about incorrect passwords, but just persist through). Either choose the Independents team if you don't want to join a team, or sign up for the Forum Flyers who are a welcoming bunch. Team thread over here . Che...

Re: BikeErg watts at low cadence

I was also a little surprised by the range, and had also assumed it would be similar to my rower. I've had it for a year, so maybe I must check if it needs a quick clean. I normally use around 85 drag factor and that seems consistently around a 3-4 lever position over the past year, so it probably i...

Re: BikeErg watts at low cadence

I couldn't decide what I should do for training tonight, so thanks for the idea! This is what I put together - watts might have varied a bit around each number but I tried to get the cadence and power to settle on a representative figure before I recorded it. I did the minimum and maximum drag facto...

Re: Rowpro unable to connect online with new PM5

I seem to remember reading something about that. I'm using a 6 year old laptop that was running Windows 8 before I applied the Windows 10 free upgrade, and haven't had any problems with RowPro 5 when I use it. I was having trouble with error messages when I had a USB drive plugged into the back of t...
