Re: Forum Flyers

That's rough news, Erik. I can imagine how frustrating it will be to hit pause on the training, but hopefully the investment of time now will buy you many years on the erg down the line.

Re: Extra wire?

You're right - it can't be used with the PM5, so you can definitely remove.

Re: Forum Flyers

Can someone please link to Lindsay’s opinion as I have either not seen it or have seen it but didn’t pay sufficient attention. Hi Jack My throwaway comment about Lindsay's suggested CTC session likely being good prep for BRIC was just my assumption based on him competing there before, going to this...

Re: Forum Flyers

We should probably get down to some voting with about a week to go to lock a choice down and pass on to Dougie. Here's the list that has been generated so far: A ) Eleventh hour. 111m x 11, 30 sec rest. Total metres. 1st standing start rest rolling B ) 11 x 1 min, 1 min rest C ) 1111m D ) 11 min E )...

Re: Forum Flyers

Despite my initial suggestions, I'm liking the idea of a simple straight distance. Would vote for a 6000m (last done on CTC in Sep 2017) or a 5000m (last done Jan 2016).

Re: Model D with PM5 Bluetooth issues

Yes I was listening to music via Bluetooth speaker after I got frustrated with ErgData and the pm5 not connecting If the PM5 and phone restarts don't help, then you'll have to contact Concept2 unfortunately. You might have the bad luck of faulty hardware on the PM5, which should be replaceable unde...

Re: Model D with PM5 Bluetooth issues

I’m sorry if this is going to be redundant but I just got my concept2 rower and am having an issue connecting the Bluetooth from the PM5 monitor to my iPhone 7 with iOS 12 I'm using the same combination as you, and it is working fine. The only suggestion I would make is to do a full power down and ...

Re: Forum Flyers

Hi jp I started a 26 week Interactive training plan (4 days a week) back in mid-January. I still have a few weeks left on it, because I had some work-related interruptions through the year. I'll do the final time trial when I eventually get to it, which will help give a sense of where I am time-wise...

Re: Forum Flyers

Went through the 10 million metre mark last night - 782+ hours of rowing to get there over 15+ years (with a couple of lengthy breaks in between). I think that Model D purchase back in October 2004 was a good decision. :D I'm assuming I'll look back on last month's BikeErg purchase with a similar fe...

Re: Forum Flyers

Good CTC time there, jp. Music has definitely helped me on the longer rows. I don't have a long drive to work everyday, and don't get a lot of time to listen to music, so training time is a good excuse to get through some. Lately though I've been working through movies and TV series on an iPad balan...

Re: Forum Flyers

Hey, jp, you kept your experience well hidden - you clearly know what you're doing! Your series of training plans sound like a good idea, and good luck breaking through the 7:00 barrier this time around.

Re: Forum Flyers

Hi jp The monthly challenges are helpful to give you some motivation, but I've also found a training plan useful to take away the "I don't know what to do today, so let me row tomorrow rather" distractions. There are some plans floating around the forum, but these interactive plans are also a good o...

Re: Forum Flyers

... I think I am now registered with both the ctc and IRL. With the former I guess I wait to hear if or when I get put in a boat, ... Have you done the 2818m and entered the score on the C2CTC site? I'm not seeing you on the results list yet. There is no automatic link from your logbook to this sit...
