Re: Rowing in Zwift (high quality software) who's interested?

I'm working on a PC only based solution, but the issue is with Python ANT library (the wheels) missing drivers for Windows. I've not enough spare time to rewrite from scratch the already working python Linux library for the damn Windows. So, at now, we need Linux to convert PM5 data to Ant and we ne...

Nonathlon database compromised ???

Hey. Today I received a new copy of the usual phishing email ... I have bad news for you. 27/08/2018 - on this day I hacked your operating system and got full access to your account 1839@uniurb.it On that day your account (1839@uniurb.it) password was: ********** The issue here is not, of course, ab...

Re: Rowing in Zwift (high quality software) who's interested

What I find interesting about your solution… it looks like it’s possible to adjust power/rpm – I’m a big fan „1.0“ for Row- and SkiErg. It is, of course. It's a software solution. ssh to your Rasp and pico /home/pi/vpower/row.py POWER_ADJUST = 1.25 RPM_ADJUST = 3.3 edit ... reboot ... Don't blame m...

Re: Rowing in Zwift (high quality software) who's interested

Yet another C2 to Zwift connector. I do have a working PoC to allow riding in Zwift with the Concept2 rower. When I say *working* what I mean is I rowed 1179 Km in Zwift with it until Mar 18, 2018, completing the Everest challenge and completing the 7 stages of the Watopia tour. Go to https://diana....

Re: Error message: the sensor wire is damaged

I also got this error after upgrading my PM5 to version 24, but only once. During the workouts, I several times get an error code 22291-37. :( Me too I do have time to time the 22291-37, what does it mean ? Cu. Paolo You'll have to write to Concept2.com to discover what that means. The error codes ...

Re: Error message: the sensor wire is damaged

In the grand scheme of things 650Ω is close enough to zero that it's not open circuit. So the PM5 is being economical with the truth. I checked the cable again, the right way this time, and the cable is ok. The error message pops up every time I connect the usb power cable but just randomly if I si...

Re: Error message: the sensor wire is damaged

While there is some possible evidence that the first reboot after upgrade it may produce a false message, if the message continues to be displayed each time you power up the monitor and try to set up a workout then probably the wire is damaged. Depending on the hardware version in your PM5 and whic...

Re: Drive length in ErgData

What of the remaining four parameters not available from PM (ED and PM have drag factor in common.)? Drive time, peak force, average force, stroke count? Useful? @drive time, useful YES, I'm always under .70 and ut2 and usually under .60 for UT1 & up. This tell you the truth about SPM on *verticall...

Now call me iron butt :D I’ve been really bored with myself, unable to train as I’d like for months, too busy with work, then flued, now a problem with a tooth, antibiotics … Yes I was bored. And It’s global marathon time. So why not, go row and try that damn first FM instead of the usual half one. ...

Re: Run 20 minutes. Whats an equivelent aerobic time for row

Gary, There certainly is much less scope to improve VO2max than increase the lactate threshold and exercise economy. With appropriate, aggressive, high-level training you might hit a VO2max ceiling within a year or two. Lactate threshold and exercise economy might continue to improve across an athle...

Re: Run 20 minutes. Whats an equivelent aerobic time for row

My question-without going into doctoral arguments on Human physiology. Is there a general similar guide for minimum time for rowing to improve aerobic capacity, specifically VO2 max? Rowing move more muscles than running so it's plausible and mostly agreed that, aerobically wise and with comparable ...
