Concept 2 should incorporate a scale into the seat and make rows harder for heavier people. I'm just kidding, by the way. I rowed in highschool as a lwt against heavies and won more races than I lost, even on the erg. When it comes down to it, on the non-international level, a very fast lwt can, and...

My goal for this year is to break 6:30 by US Nationals. For your goals you are going to need to go much faster than sub 7. As a heavy you need to break 6:20 for a scholarship, if you drop 16 lbs and pull below 6:35 you could be a great lwt.

All these people assume you are a man, is that correct? I am assuming so since only a handfull of women can break 7. Does your coach have a program set up for you? pretty much any program will get a young heavy under seven in a few months. Concept 2 has programs, and there are thousands of programs ...

I am also a frosh lwt in college. Out coach has us do 4-6 erg workouts on our own each week in addition to team practices. The different workouts are: 3x19 4minx3minx2minx1minx2minx3minx4min at 18/20/22/24/22/20/18, 4x11 3minx2minx1minx2minx3min at 18/22/24/22/18, 10minx9minx8min. . . 2minx1min with...
