https://i.postimg.cc/Vrs6JCLy/IMG-20210430-081523-681.jpg PB by 157m. I have had indigestion issues for about a week so I have been feeling sluggish, and grumpy (it is estimated that 90% of your serotonin is produced in the gut). I felt a bit better today and as it was the last day of the ranking s...

30min R20 @ 2:04-pace. Try @ 500m, SB by default @ 1:36,7. Almost 7sec. to previous achievements. Oh well...

Capped it at r24 to try and maintain a steady and slower pace, but it just felt like it was worth a bit of extra effort. I need to get a bit more used to 85-90% of MHR as I'm thinking that too much ci...

Re: Halving beginner pete plan?
IMO the most importanz things to start with are proper technique and increasing volume, especially if weight reduction is a target . Increasing length of a row also means that you will have to watch Speed. For example if you went for 2.500m @ 2:30 pace and ended up maxing your HR you want to go quit...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Miserable row yesterday! For the second time in 3 weeks I did 22,195 as a practice for the first part of a FM which I was originally planning to do May 1. My plan for yesterday was to do the 22,195 just a little below FM PB pace, I went out a little faster than planned but slowed down about halfway...

Great to hear from you Glenn and that you are still at it. Tough to get back. It was so much fun with you and the other guys back in the day. Cheers Hardy

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Slowly getting back in shape. First serious TT in 4 years was to be a 30min. Some trouble to set a sound target. Settled for sub 2:00 but managed to hold sub 1:58. Got to 7.674m. Pretty wasted but pretty happy with that too. SPM 23-24. HWT , 50yo. Cheers Hardy

Re: What do you think about this bespoke program
Well, my friend, I would settle for 250s or 1 minutes for the short stuff as 100s @drags of 200 done on a regular basis IMO are too risky with regard to injury. Got ma best erg phase finished with an injury. Important to stay healthy as each restart is a mess.

Re: Ergo shoes and ergo gloves
I used to use gloves but with the right grip and hardened skin they do more harm than good. To me anyway.
Re: TT Advice
If the 5k @ 2:13.2 was a 95%-effort your short-term goals are realisic and probably good to go for negative splitting. Good luck!

Re: Where do i start .....
Great work so far Smee. With regard to bad feelings due to comparisions between now and earlier proficiency on the erg I have the same problem as you have. I started on the erg at the end of season 2014/2015 and got really into it in season 2015/2016 with almost 3mm total and a massive improvement o...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
After only 500k this season I decided to go for the crazy bear challenge in order to have an anchor point to try to build up that old engine again. Managed 5HMs since 12th of November, #6 scheduled for tonight.
