A bunch of new PBs
:o Well, they all come in a rush, don't they? About 2 weeks back, finally broke 6:40 for the 2k, a long time goal. This gave me the courage to go for a h/m, and while I was a bit disappointed, 1:20:25.4 is a new PB (was after that 1:20:00 level, of course). Those half marathons are different from ev...

If only 4, I will average 1:40.7, and fail; if 4.5, then I will average 1:39.2 and cane my record. Any views on how long to recover from th...

Thanks to all of you. My medium term aim is to beat a certain gentleman called Darryl Easton, whose Nov 05 times (2k: 6:40.8, 5k 17:31ish, h/m 1:19:51) are a reachable peak. He was rowing next to me yesterday, puffing along to a 6:55 owing to protracted illness and a broken foot. I honestly didn't m...

Can there be "easy" and "hard" ergometer
Hi all I cannot believe I am the first to ask about this . . . The ergs at the gym at work are quite old. The ones at my home gym are the same make but clearly much newer. For some reason, I can't help feeling that the ones at work are much easier. I can't prove it, but when I broke my 6k record rec...
