Re: Forum Flyers

3 x 15 min yesterday
3 x 20 min today with 10 min on the bike to warm up first.
HR improving steadily with effort.
3 pounds lost in the last week.
Rest day tomorrow, off on holiday in the evening...and according to their website, the holiday resort has an erg at their gym.
Nice to be back

Re: Forum Flyers

Papy-Ollie, the 3x8 will seem SO EASY to you after that 6x10 but suppose it’s all grist for the mill in the interest of becoming an all-rater. Low rate power per stroke can get to be a gravity well of comfort that is hard to escape after all the effort invested in doing exactly that (making it comf...

Lots of rate changers in the Concept2 WODS. I did the 3x8’ from a few days ago: like L4 absent prescribed pacing.

Re: Forum Flyers

Bonjour Olivier (altho it is bonsoir here at the moment) Good to see you have identified a way forward. I must say that your solution seems pretty sensible - I like the interval approach and do it a lot and varying your stroke rate and paces will help a lot and you will still get an excellent train...

Re: Forum Flyers

Good morning fellow FF, Hope you are all keeping well. Back (again) after an other hiatus (again). After a fruitful and good volume run from Sept end to Jan end, it petered out in February and then just couldn't stand the sight of the erg for March/April/May. Not all negative as it was only a result...

Welcome to the FF team, Leonard !

Re: Forum Flyers

Somehow managed my third longest distance on the hour today with 13,212m (335m away from my 2015 PB). Started the workout for an HM but didn't have enough in the tank for that distance .Tried to focus on keeping constant pace range on individual strokes for the hour. 2'20-2'18 for the first 10 min a...

Re: Forum Flyers

Proper "full-on" attempt today at the 30 min (and incidentally CTC) since i restarted rowing at the end of September. Happy to have kept 24 SPM throughout and breaking the 7k barrier at 7,111m which was the main goal. Had set up the pace boat at 2:08:5 for that purpose but started too fast in the fi...

Re: Forum Flyers

"Fun" day on the erg today... finished a very laboured HM in 1h38, including 3 short breaks and counting down the strokes by batches of 20 with 6k to go to keep the mind going... absolutely crawling over the line...on the plus side, it was still 5 minutes faster than the HM I did two weeks ago... si...

Re: Forum Flyers

Nov. CTC preceded by 6 oz of 2006 Pinot Grigio. Smooth! Enjoyed it again and again and again  Like your style, Jack !! Did a 10K (+1 m  ) just under 46 minutes today on the UT1 / UT2 border, very happy with this as i am clawing back some pace gradually (PB was 42:27). I thi...
