We have all felt 'there's no way I can continue at this pace' and a few minutes later it suddenly improves as your mind accepts it and let's you get on with it. Indeed!!!! I hate it when i hit these hurdles when i'm going some on the rower, but they are what they are. But it gives good satisfaction...

6k today after a bit of a break from the erg. This was a re-row of the 6k i done on the 28th' of last month. On the gym machines I row comfortably at a pace of 2:10 and at home it's more like 2:30. If thats the case, and you're rowing the same 110 df reading you get on the Gym's machines then it seems to me there is something off with your machine. 8k today @ 2:17... a very mixed up session, which i don't normally do. Some fast k's, Some steady k's, and several get up's off the rower to grab a quick sip of water. Hence the 2:17 avg!!! Sweaty workout :D

Another sub 20min 5k today... but boy it was a struggle toward the end!!! The stupidly high humidity done me in, like trying to breathe in a furnace :twisted: Sweat was literally pouring off me after this one :D

Do you not log reps x weight for all your sets? Just trying to compare really as not too dissimilar bodyweight to you, Anth. I've done 140kg (still pretty mediocre really) for 1RM but still think there's some gas left in the tank but I'm tentative with deads. Slow and steady seems to be working wel...
