It's an early model D so you'll want to spend $180 upgrading the PM4 to a PM5.
Firstly, It's a model E.

Secondly, why waste $180 on a PM5 when the PM4 is perfectly fine :?

If it ain't broke don't fix it

Re: Training in the evening - bad night due to too much drinking?

Seems bizarre you need to consume that much water in such a short space of time regardless of the training regime. Consuming that amount through various times of the day would be normal for most folk, me included. It would drive me mad making that many toilet trips during the night. Can't be good fo...

Re: Knees popping

My knees click and pop quite a bit, and always have since i was in my later teens. I need to make sure i click and pop them by bending my legs in and out before i set off on the erg otherwise i can get some uncomfortable leg drives if i don't. By doing that beforehand gives me no issues when i row :)

Re: Heart rate too high?

My wife has recently started rowing, she’s doing the beginner Pete plan. she’s 51 and I’ve noticed her heart rate is very high when rowing but she said it doesn’t bother her. She‘s currently rowing at 2:28 pace 5k and her HR average is around 170-175. It comes back down again quickly to hr88 within...

Re: Anyone have trouble keeping the rollers and rail clean? ...

I used to clean rollers and rail after every session and got the same issue. Until i started just cleaning the rail only. Now i find much less black scuffing marks on the rail after sessions and frequently smoother rows by just letting the black sit and settle on the rollers and wiping only the rail.

Re: Used model D, any advice appreciated

The only saving grace is that a model D that's little used will still have close to $900 of value on the second-hand market. If you buy a new one today and sell it tomorrow all you've lost is the shipping cost. Every kilometre you row on it drops the value by some fraction of a dollar. Good luck in...

30 mins @ 2:04.9 - r21 - 7201m - HR144

Felt fresh and okay throughout which was good :)

Steady 15k at 1.55.0 for a time of 57:31.9. Average hr130. It felt OK. I'm just knocking the mileage out at the moment and steadily losing weight.
Nice work.

Some rather impressive PB's as well!!!!

Re: Used model D, any advice appreciated

In picture 1 there appears to be a lot of scratches under the seat....or is that the paint job? Or should I even care about that? https://worcester.craigslist.org/spo/d/worcester-concept-2-model-indoor-rower/7124155584.html The scratches are more of an eyesore than anything else. They won't affect ...

Re: PM3 to a PM5: now much slower

1:45 pace for how long ? Sorry but 2:00 pace if far more likely to be comfortable than 1:45 pace for the majority of people. I'm wondering if the PM3 was even configured for the rower. I have a hard time believing 1:45 pace to be comfortable unless you're only doing under 1000m rows. Even then for ...
