Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Been a bit ill with food poisoning so not much activity lately.

Rowed a 6k today @ 2:02.7 - r23 - df143

Not been on since 5th nov so it felt like a bit work, but still enjoyable :D

Re: Just assembled it today.. total noob

Hi all! Here's a pic of my setup. Where? Rowing is hard, especially when just starting out. Try to devote most of this time in the seat to developing a good technique before anything else imo. Once you feel your stroke is getting decent efficiency and you're connecting well with the machine, then p...

Re: How to reset your PM5 to factory defaults.

Re: used C2's. It's a simple process to know if any meters have been knocked off. Just look at the dates the workouts were done on the machine!!! if the machine was manufactured in 2014 but the workouts don't go back to that period then i would smell a rat. Balderdash. The PM5 has a limited amount ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

So, my training at the moment is mostly weights! A day on followed by a day off, training individual areas at a time. This is working well, and i feel good and energetic most days. Even though my sleep is fairly poor at the moment and i have no clue as to why. The rowing is fairly minimal, and it wi...

Re: 30R20

i really struggle with low rates. before i got the arm injury i was rating comfortably at 27/28 but worked hard to get that down to 24/25 and then it was a struggle. now im back from injury im managing to keep it at 22/23 but really need to concentrate to do so. my power has also dropped off (to be...

Re: First 5,000m

Forget the damper setting. Go into the monitors menu and bring up display drag factor and pull some strokes until you see a reading of around 115-125 drag. That is where you need to be for your rowing!!!

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Noon WO today. 1hr weights, then finished with a 2k row @ 1:57 - r24 - df141 Some warmdown stretching. I'm definitely noticing more size to my biceps now... but i'm training them more than i used to! So whether or not that's also down to avoiding longer sessions on the erg i'm not sure :? But anywho...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Back on the erg today! As some may know my current training is mostly weightlifting, in an attempt to pack on more muscle and keeping the rowing fairly minimal. Still a bit early days to say how that is working out however. I didn't see any harm in doing a 5k today though :) The focus was just simpl...

Well they did add water bottle holders under the foot pads....
Which is a pretty pointless add on. Just have a bottle by your side!!!!

Re: How good is 7:30 for 2000m?

It's a decent time. My first 2k was about 9:45 ish, but i came into rowing with zero exercise for about 8 years prior. Took me about 4 months of regular erg training to eventually pull a 7:22. So for you, and regular training for some months, do another 2k TT and you could have knocked a good ole ch...
