I got on my erg yesterday and I pulled one hard stroke. After that I heard a weird popping noise and it felt like the resistance was alot less. I pulled 10 of my hardest strokes and my split wouldnt go below 1:58. Anyone have any ideas as to whats going on???? Much apreciated..

I got on the erg and i pulled one hard stroke. Once I did I heard a popping noise. After that the resisitance on the chain seemed noticeably less and my split wont go below 1:58. Any ideas on what happened?? thanks
