Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Great set of improvements for the Nonathlon Susan - you must be very nearly there now with the 900 average. Nice going! Very impressive sessions as ever Rod. Lots of distance and all in the low 1:50s. All going in the right direction. Thanks for your good wishes....but Fran is fine, the accident was...

Re: Rowing or Strength first in a given workout session?

When I do my dumbbell sessions my intention is to train to be stronger (or maintain current strength). To my mind that means working with the heaviest weights I can manage. I need to fully concentrate on that and simply wouldn't have the stamina or mental toughness to do a hard weight session after ...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Surprised at that 5k Rod. While loads faster than I can do its not that much faster than your 10k pace. Something not right there! But the 8x2k numbers suggests that there is much more available so wont be long before you can crack out a sub 18 anytime you fancy. Sorry to hear about the fall Marjori...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Nice going on that hour of power Susan - looks like the 13000 will fall next time. 6K also strong. Well done on bettering 8000 points in the Nonathlon...just 78 more needed for that 900 avg - good luck with that. That 4x15min on 16k pace looks pretty brutal Rod, but you've recovered well to knock ou...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Nice 6x10min and 10k Rod. Looks like you're a natural at 1:52 pace for as long as you want! Great 1k for the WRVIS challenge Marjorie - 3rd overall and top Brit in your category - fantastic result. As you noted (thanks!) I was 6th in the end in mine (and also top Brit!) but a bit hollow really since...

Re: Any Concept 2 owners use RowPro?

I used RowPro 3 with my Model C PM3 for a few years. It was great being able to have so many stored workouts available and (another) readily accessible log. I also liked having the graphic output up on a big TV in front of me...although I still found I mostly concentrated on the PM screen. I never u...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

108k in a week Rod...that sounds manic, I don't do much more than that in a month! Obviously working for you though as the 8x2k and 5k looked well in control and easily inside target. Nice going. Already knocked out a HM and looking forward to the next one Susan. Utter madness IMHO but if you like i...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Fair enough Marjorie - 2 days before a world championship race is obviously fine! ...or a bike ride too far as you say. Interesting on the CTC - looks like you reckon its about 2sec below 2k pace? That seems to tie in looking at the results and given my usual relative position in the table - I...

Re: Drag factor racing

Something wrong there Paul - DF only goes up to about 220 even on a new clean machine.

I use 145 most of the time. Exceptions being ultra sprints - 220 for 100m and 1min and I may experiment a bit on 500m if I have time...otherwise 145.

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Hope you and Carol enjoyed your hols Rod - no doubt a welcome relax after months of hard work prep for the racing season. Interesting to read that you felt training hadn't gone well in the last 3 weeks prior...I hadn't picked up on that, indeed I thought all of the stars had aligned. A shame for you...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Great going Susan. That St Austell time sounds like an SB - isn't it? Always impressive. Can't believe you're hankering after another HM already - the rehabilitation has done its job then! Yes Marjorie...I noticed your time wasn't on the trajectory you'd set from the previous outings which had been ...

Re: PM5 not connecting to ERGdata

The USB stick will be causing issues saving the data so needs to be out as Carl suggests (you can insert it and "move the workout" after you've finished if you want it on the stick). Not sure that the stick will have affected bluetooth though. Using a beta sounds a bit radical to cure rate spikes. N...

Nice one Keith - enjoyed watching your race - you looked well in control whenever on camera - and very impressive to PB on such an occasion.
