Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Today had another go at the 6x500R2 (I'm nowhere near as dedicated as Rod, who does 10 reps.). Yes but I do them slower than if I were to do 6 reps so a different session. I also do 8 reps with a longer recovery period of 3:30 and find this a bit harder than the 10 with 2' so it's about the effect ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Enjoy yourself out there Rod and give it your best shot. I hope you get what you want out of the trip. You seem to have really come on at the 5K/30mins+ sort of distance, but the 2K would appear fairly stubborn for you to lower significantly? Do you see that as a limitation of stroke power which ca...

Best of luck to you and Carol. It's time to believe in your training and go what you do best. I'm assuming Carol is also on top form too?
Thanks Stu and yes she's in fine fettle as always!

I suspect Rod you are pretty close to the mark after all these years but that 10x 500 is a very nice confidence boost - best of luck - sub 6:55 is definitely on the radar.
Thanks for the good wishes Lindsay, good of you to take the time and much appreciated....I'll give it my best shot!

Not based on this sesh. If it was a max one that is. Yes, it was indeed a max session so as I said to H20 I won't be...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

You've posted some excellent sprint sessions there Rod. Nice to see a Sub7 2k as nonchalant as that, not to mention an easy 8k 30mins. Those 10x500 look brutal! Very best wishes for a successful world champs - confidence should be high with all of those results in training so just a question of get...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Thanks Nick and H20 , I'll be giving it my best shot! There's no chance of me getting under 6:50:0 though H20 , this session and other recent ones suggest I'll be around the same as I did at the British champs back in early December which was 6:56.5. I'm hoping that ''around the same'' means I can s...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Should have added, also took a week at around week 10 to re train myself. If by that you mean you've had the damper on a setting of 10 then have a look at this (having it on 10 is a very bad idea); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9yk4lLzuKo&fbclid=IwAR3SgAGkZD11nlKZ9roY2-ICdwX6PPsmSQ7hq7IymG2YdU4B...
