Re: Protein shakes?

Protein shakes do not have any special inherent muscle recovery properties of their own. Assuming you eat a balanced diet with enough protein from actual food then there is no need, you will already be eating enough for recovery, save your money. Consuming extra protein does not affect recovery eit...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Well done Susan. Completing yet another HM is quite an achievement in itself never mind the time which will no doubt improve further this season. ..and just seen your and Carol's new World Record Rod. Wooohooo! Much as I love 500 intervals...the idea of doing them for nearly 7 hours does not appeal...

You're not wrong. I grew up in Buxted and used to play pub cricket from the New Inn in Hadlow Down.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

This is still a fair way short of my best which I did last September and set a British 60-69 Lwt record with 1:53.3 pace (15,...

What a great time! Congrats on all time PB too :D That stroke rate for 3 hours  that's 10more a minute than I pulled! Be interested to know how you fuelled it, fluid intake etc. Thanks Dino, it’s a normal stroke rate for me as apart from being very old and very light I’m also not very tall a...
