Re: Blisters on back side

My son was complaining of the sore butt issue too. I simply placed a "closed cell" foam "kneeling/gardening" pad across the seat and it did not slip, yet offered much relief. It's fairly soft with a shinny finish so it grips well and returns to shape after use....cheap too.

Re: New seat rollers but the seat still squeaks

Also clean and lube under the rail on both sides.....just below the top (like the top half of an "I-Beam")

Re: Rowing Knee Position?

Thanks...good tips. The knees want to spread slightly and this seems natural (for me) but in some videos it seems that many folks are able to keep their knees from splaying....so i'll keep working the technique and accept a little spread and do as you suggest.

Lubricating the slide rail?

I know the rail needs to be kept clean of any debris but was wondering if there's any benefit or harm to be experienced by lubing the rail with the type of silicone gel used on the treads of treadmills or using the spray can silicone for cleaning?

Guys i posted this in another thread but, not in the vein of competition now, size or body type can effect rowing on the ERG. Being short and thick (not as flexible perhaps or simply "mechanically restricted" by body type...and NOT fat) does present some issues for me....or at least i'm questioning ...

Rowing Knee Position?

I think i have a good grasp on the rowing technique but i have a question. When i go to the catch position i find that i get more forward travel when my knees splay out to the sides as the shins reach vertical. This seems to be a natural position for me. Being on the shorter side my upper legs hit t...

This product may be helpful to you. http://www.shoxbox.biz/Home_Page.html I tried it yesterday at the CRASH-Bs. It felt good. Or brace up the front legs with 2x4's, even better. The real issue in regards to position of the erg, is that the railing dips sharply in relation to the line of force from ...

Brown/orange streak on oil cloth??????????

Just wondering if anyone experienced this condition? New ERG with a dozen sessions and i noticed a slight noise - not there at the beginning - so i decide to oil the chain on my C2E. After doing so i noticed a large brown/orange stain on the oil cloth and so i'm wondering if this is normal or? The c...
