Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

Assuming podium means top 3, then it happened in the first CTC - Kelly Sapsford of MAD was in the 2nd placed boat. :D But your point is a fair one, and I'm also too lazy to dig through the rest of the archives! Dave I've had a look in the reverse direction and found that Kelly was the last LWT lady...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

The simple fact is Daren's algorithm works and has done since Dec 2005 for 180 CTC challenges. Yes, it's a clever system that has stood the test of time. That doesn't stop me being in sympathy with LWT ladies who will very rarely feature in a top boat. I doubt that a podium boat has ever contained ...

Well done BW Rowing for taking the top spot on the October leaderboard. Sub7 with thirteen teams had just one more than Fitness Matters. Well done! Sub7 has the challenge for December, Isenhurst Rowers for January and The Diamonds for February. https://i.postimg.cc/tgphdhdg/ctcoct19.png Taking my po...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

To get a boat you 1. Need a team 2. Need five folks rowing for you 3. Need three of those folks to be HWT 4. Need one of them to be LWT 5. Need one lady [You'll notice that having a LWT lady is the best combo.] Pardon the clarifications. Four team members may be HWT if one is a lady. There's no req...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

I've has a reply from CUS Bergamo including the challenge for November. To prevent confusion with our current 666m, it won't be published until the 25th October.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

Simon has posted the October challenge by AIRC:

"Sorry for the late announcement! We have decided to keep it simple for October with the AIRC halloween howler. Row 666 metres from a standing start. A bit of a beast."

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

Simon Kemsley applied for the AIRC challenge back in July . I've messaged him today and hope to get a reply soon.

I should have done this earlier but have been laid low with the norovirus for the past couple of days; not a pleasant experience.

Joe

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

https://i.postimg.cc/G3g3zV7t/CTCJUL19.png July saw a return to top form for SUB7. They finished on top of the leaderboard and, with 17 boats, launched the largest armada on the virtual river. Well done. We also saw boats launched by Plymouth RC, TEAM JW and The Italian Team for the first time. Wel...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

It's already shaping up to be an interesting season at the head of the leaderboard. Well done MAD for winning the June challenge. Sub7 again floated the most boats on the virtual river with an armada of fifteen. GARAGEATHLETE has the August challenge, REDLINE ROWERS the September. NORDIC, CUS BERGAM...
