Mike - It is quite an easy job and it should be straightforward to get the part and glue. They have the added benefit of protecting the outer edge of the blade from damage. Vortex edges have come a long way since they were first introduced 10+ years ago. The current design is a four-sided "cap" that is glued onto the blade and is less prone to peeling away from the surface over time. The five-a-day goal was at the very beginning of Dynamic production. I believe the Dynamic pictured is the first true "production" erg, and at that point, five-a-day was a challenge.
