Re: New C2 Rower

Getting into a good daily schedule is harder than one would think, work gets in the way. Currently rowing 5000m every other day. I'm aligning my schedule so I have time everyday. Hoping to step up Bove 5000m this weekend.

Re: Which one - model D or E????

One thing to consider is where/how will you listen to music, or grab your water bottle. I like the E for the sitting height as it is easy to get into my shoes, but without a cup holder the D makes it far easier to reach a bottle of water sitting on the floor.

Re: New C2 Rower

Thanks for the words of encouragement! There are plenty of books and experts regarding "how to improve" but very few sound words regarding "how to initiate" without "over cooking and causing damage. I'l try to stick to 5000m until Sunday, Sunday I can push to "spent" and then take a nap. Thanks again

Re: New C2 Rower

You are correct, I'm just being overly cautious.

Part if this ramp up is a clearing of the lungs - the strength in my muscles can far exceed the capabilities of my lungs. Baby steps are good thing right now, I'll kick it up once my body has gone through the adjustment.

Thanks

Re: New C2 Rower

Working my way into a good routine:

Day 01 was 1500m
Day 02 was 2500m
Day 03 was 2500m
Day 04 was 4000m in twenty minutes

Hoping to make 5000m within thirty minutes in the next few days, then hold that for about a week.

Feels all good so far.

Re: New C2 Rower

It arrived! Some assembly required, two screws of the wrong length but i'm certain we can figure that one out. I like the heart rate monitor, very cool.

So I start tomorrow.

Core objective is to monitor calories consumed and work up the calories burned by building up to 12k per day six days a week.

Re: Which one - model D or E????

Every time I move forward on a purchase the pattern is the same, research, test, more research - then buy. I had the opportunity to use a Model D PM3 in my CrossFit gym, it rocks and is rock solid. I'm 6'4" and 230+. As I was researching for purchase I decided I wanted the PM4 because I'm pushing 50...

Find a CrossFit gym that can provide you with access to a C2 at your vacation destination - worth a few calls.
