Some nice marathon runs there, well done.

It seems a hard regime you are following. Does running so many 11K's not get boring.

My advice, ...

Nice gradual improvements Ben.

Nice row Neb154. One of my favourite pieces is 5K @20. Hard work but does not take too long.

Afrer a 3 hour run yesterday, where I nearly packed in 3 miles from home and was going to call to get my wife to pick me up, I decided to do a fastish 10K...

Cheers Doug. Perhaps I got the wrong end of the oar as I was talking to someone over the weekend who suggested that they can give a good asssesment. Perhaps I misunderstood as I am not really all that au-fait with the lactate stuff

cheers anyway

John

I thought the venue was excellent, easy to find on the T and not too far out of town.
Plenty of room and comfortable. Plenty of warm-up machines which was my main concern.

The air was dry but not terribly and it certainly did not affect my row.

I liked the t-shirts and the...

Very interesting post. I did not even realise that there were self-test lits available.

On a more general note. How good a predictor of 2K time is a lactate test? I was thinking of having one done but I wonder just what it will show me.

Current 2K PB is 7:06. If it said that 2...

Nice effort but intervals for the first session in weeks. Seems a bit of a risk, very good chance of getting injured.
Good solid mileage is best in my view if you are not training for anything too specific.
