Re: Neck pain and hypermobility
Thank you for your message which i respect. I have had MRIs , CT scans and x rays across the past 20 years. Once we exit covid I will revisit medically and take on board your feedback. My wife has had three of those conditions and had surgery and you are absolutely right to flag as a concern. I hav...

Re: adhesive foam material on C2 Seat pad
Mincell foam is a great option for kayak outfitting, Glad you found it works for your erg. This place specializes in such materials, including neoprene foam sheets with adhesive backing. http://kayakoutfitting.com/ I use a piece of a Thermarest Ridge Rest sleeping pad in my sea kayak to keep my but...

Re: Shoulder Surgery Questions
I got this device called a Shoulder Horn, combined with light dumbbells worked well for strengthening of the rotator cuff. Might be worth looking into during your rehabilitation/post rehabilitation.

Re: Neck pain and hypermobility
Honestly you should talk to a physician and have an MRI of your cervical spine or better yet entire spine, things you may want to have ruled out would be slipped/herniated disks, Ehlers-Danlos, Chiari, Spinal Cord Tumor, Thoracic Outlet, Syringomyelia, Syringobulbia, etc. PT/Physio isn't going to be...

Re: adhesive foam material on C2 Seat pad
Yep, I made the decision to not cut out the holes for the sitz bones because I figured it was going to conform into the ischial tuberosity holes of the EndureRow seat anyway, and so far it is doing so. I'll give it a few more weeks of workouts and then update if my thoughts change for better or worse.

Re: adhesive foam material on C2 Seat pad
I received it and affixed it to my EndureRow seat. The material has much smaller cells than the C2 foam. The foam is substantially tougher than the C2 foam. The give under bottom is similar (2lb density foam). The material is homogeneous and it could be shaped to an end result via sander and files. ...

Re: Would adding Slides to my Model D be appropriate for me?
I own a C2 Model D from 2005 with PM5. I use the machine for periods of time over the years, but I typically stop erg rowing due to other seasonal sports taking its place (eg hiking, golf, etc). I will never row competitively, eg CrossFit or Crash-B, or on the water. I prefer not to purchase a C2 D...

Re: adhesive foam material on C2 Seat pad
Got a response from C2 tech support, the pad is crosslinked ldpe 2lb density 3/8" thickness. With this in mind, I ordered some adhesive backed 3/4" closed-cell crosslinked polyethylene minicell foam that is typically used for kayak seats.

Re: What is your drive time?
I was also (over) thinking about it just now that given a fixed duration, your curve might be as peaky as it needs to be, other than changing your sequencing so it is more leg dependent to shift the peak earlier in the duration. I overlaid my 2:12 (152 watts) over your 152 watts in below image, your...

Re: What is your drive time?
I think you should be able to get it slightly peakier, however there's a limit to how peaky it can be given you are restricting yourself to UT2 pace. Try to focus on your heel pressure. I personally make better parabolas at faster paces because I can push harder with my legs and that produces a tall...
