What sort of distances are you targeting? I'm going to try and be hard on myself and aim for 12km minimum on SS days.
That's my plan as well. I want to do longer intervals and SPM/HR restricted sessions.

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Some great work! @Mike get well. I've been doing some non-PP training. I'm going to switch my focus to longer distance work from now through October, but I'll be checking in. I may do a few of the PP interval sessions over the next couple of weeks before I attempt a 2k TT. I think I'll be on the PP ...

Re: Ergdata

Ergdata does a great job at showing those parameters live, but it doesn't save them so you can analyze improvement over time. I use a different app, call painsled which saves the data to analyze after the fact. I use a website call rowsandall to do that. One of the cool things you can do with this ...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Solid work Bob. PP 2.5 12k Target was < 2:10, but I was focused on SPM = 28. I had a target of 2:08.7 in back of my head if I felt really good. I found myself below 2:08 from the start and it kept going down. Once I hit 2:06.0 (around 4k in), I figured 2:05.7 knowing it was absurd. HD at 7k. Pissed ...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@ Bob - I dread the 5x1500 more than any workout. 1:50 is blazing!

@ Rob, congrats on the PB/bragging rights!

Last week of the dog days of summer challenge. This week requires 40km but I've got limited time to row over this weekend. Opted to row 20km last night at 2:17, r23. Funny how a HM seemed like an impossible row for me 3 months ago.
Yessir. Nice work.

If I'm rating at 28ish I'll inhale at both drive and recovery
Me too. A large exhale going into the catch and a smaller one on the 2nd half of the drive.

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@Roel - Forgot to say hi, good to have another newbie on board the beginner plan! Nice times. I also have to will myself to keep my s/r over 20, but feel the benefit when I do. @ Roel & Rob - do you exhale on the drive, recovery, or both? I also had trouble maintaining higher s/r. With time/meters,...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Public Service Announcement Mike has been temporarily locked out of the forum. His back must be doing well, because he crushed his interval session today! How? Send a PM to PaulH to get that fixed. Done. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but he mentioned something about the new Gmail format and...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

How are you liking PP? So far, PP has been solid. I will do a 2k TT at the end of September (after cycle 2) at sea level. Then, I'll be coming back to the mountains in October where I'll work on longer restricted pieces mixed in with some longer interval sessions (e.g. 2 x 5k). Basically, it'll be ...
