Logged a 14.3 today, sr59, which is still ten lower than my 14.2PR. I’m just starting to try and get my feel for the higher rates back, but sub 14 feels very possible.

Gonna try to ramp up the stroke rate again and go back to full drag sometime this week. Really want to hit 14.0 or lower, when I hit my 14.2 last year I could not pull 1000 watts at under 50SR. So hopefully I can get the new power to transfer to the higher stroke rate.

Wow this thread did die. Managed a 14.8 at 48SR last week, .6 off of PR, but that was at 67SR. Pulled one stroke at 1052 watts, which is close to my low pull in my 100m PR. My first pull is about 1:42-44, then it is usually around 1:23-24, 1:13-15 and then sub 1:10 on a good day. I just re-watched a video I have of a 14.3 100 I did right before my 14.2 and I think I hit 1:14 on my 3rd stroke and 1:10 on number 4. I am only 5'11" so I have to hit a high stroke rate and ...

My best 100, 14.2, was at 66-67 strokes with the erg weighted down with several dumbbells. Low pull on it was 1:08

Wow this thread has died. I was going to change my focus a bit, but 5wks into keto/mostly carnivore I thought I would try a little more sprinting. Last night doing repeat 100s I was able to hit 1:12-13 at 44-45 strokes per minute. When I did my 14.2 100m I couldn't hit that quick at that stroke rate.

Work on your core. Use pallof press, plank, any bracing type core exercises. It is not your back, but your glutes and hams that should make up the 2nd(body) part of the stroke. It is basically a hip hinge if your core is strong enough to keep back in proper position.

drag 203 sr60's I do mostly full body workouts with the big movements. If my main focus is the hip hinge I will include an accessory for the quads and vice versa. I also do some sort of vertical and horizontal push/pulls, bench/rows or military/pullups. I also have an adjustable t-bar for swings up ...

14.3 then 14.2 today after some light trap bar jump squats and ball slams, just to get ready to move quickly. Will hit 14 flat hopefully then start back on 2k training. Sprints have been fun, especially for an ex skinny distance runner.
