Re: 100m MAX: first few strokes

not sure I should be joining this superman thread (but I will!) for me: - keep the feet high - the DF around 170/180 rather than max is better as if too high it makes the first strokes slower not faster and there aren't enough to catch up - getting down fast is the secret (altho I agree that 1:21 is...

Re: Weight Categories

yes @Grantmatt it has been discussed many times over many years although typically it is raised by 80+kg men rather than 76ish because there is no doubt that on a race day you could easily go <75 and race as a lwt. (I know of guys around 78+ who can get down with a week of discipline). If I were you...

Re: 20R30 DF Question

If you are trying to row sr20 with a high df you will using a lot of strength overcoming the slowing fan - you really want it to be just spinning along with that terrific whooshing noise. Higher DF is OK for higher rated sprinty stuff where you can get...

yes Cynthia - well paced and staying within your limits is smart. Just finishing is a big win I reckon
Best of luck with the medicos. The virus story is pretty scary in parts of the US looking from a distance - stay safe

Re: Newbie Question on Model D

yes welcome - learn about drag factor as your first step and set it at about 125 and then spend an hour or two reading new rower threads here and on the C2 site and try to get technique right from the beginning.
