My cross training over the years has been mainly doing weights either at the gym or with dumbbells at home a...

Re: Wr 6k and 5.36.5 2k

I've read before that the best 2ks shorten their stroke at the end when getting tired. How does that work? As the watts per stroke drop you may need to shorten the stroke to increase the rate and maintain the pace Here is JDS doing a 5:38 2k just before his WR was done https://www.youtube.com/watch...

30r20 has been around "for ever" I suspect and as Henry said has its roots OTW.
James at Q-Power is a big fan and has written an interesting article

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Went hard at it but slow is the new normal I am afraid - just not quite used to it yet. Temporary lull Lindsay. I've been like it most of the year and without your excuse of travelling away from the erg. You'll be back on it by Christmas....and I hope to join you! ... Or time for a regime change. T...

Re: Hi Rowers, just joined, Advice most Welcome!

Welcome indeed - there are many threads specifically addressing the sort of questions that you have raised (and some you haven't even thought of yet!) If you search by "new rower" and "newbie" you will discover hours of reading and links to useful information. Technique is first and getting some tim...

Re: Question on warm up.

Anyone on here got advice on the best way to warm up. Wondering if I should do this based on HR for a set period of time. Didn’t really get into a sweat at any point today whereas normally I’m leaking buckets. FWIW - lots of different practices but it seems that most suggest a pretty firm warm-up w...

I would love to join a team.
there are plenty of choices Jean but the Flyers are just right for you and you would be most welcome. Both C2 challenges and the CTC will provide you with inspiration and variety.
