Re: Forum Flyers

Welcome!! Don't worry about having the most meters, just row as much as you can and enjoying doing it. Exactly! and well done to all - the challenges have a role in helping us all no matter how serious or relaxed about our training. Notice the really fast CTC from "our" Floridian Kiwi Todd - very p...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Nicely done....almost identical to my time but with much better pacing than me (fly&die  ) Thanks Alex - I actually thought when you logged yours that it is probably the best way to do it rather than a kind of fly and die "failure" and certainly you didn't leave anything in the tank. As Stu s...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

IMO you're well within a sub 7 Lindsay. The 500 result is the most important part of this session to show that your 1000 and 520 were still sub max. This is a really solid result. Thanks Stu - that is how I saw it too (hopefully) - the first time on a session like this is always a bit cautious to s...

Re: New Rower 10k time and weight

My question is does anyone know where any information about rowing at a higher weight? I can find world record times pretty easily but that's not what I'm really looking for. Steady row sessions feel great but I think I can be working towards improvement in a better way. Some advice in that area wo...

Re: Forum Flyers

Just wanted to say hi to my teammates - I won't have the most meters but am doing my best to contribute! Laura Welcome Laura - your contribution will always be valuable. Hope we can help build your meters and fitness. Terry and I did CTC V1.0 tonite. Mine was @1:42.5 and Terry @1:53.3 so both happy...

Re: 24 week Pete Plan

I appreciate your replies as always. What should I be monitoring mostly? Split time? Or does it depend upon the workout? We will normally measure sessions by split time so if you do a 5k @2:15 then that becomes the check for the next time. I agree with Stu - if you start the BPP then take it easy a...

Re: Training for 30 minute max distance

So I was looking at the training plans on here and noticed that the overwhelming majority of them are aimed at improving 2k times or they don't specify what they're training you for other than general improvement. I have a friend who is getting into rowing and he focuses exclusively on 2k's and 500...
