Re: Concept2 Log: Teams vs. Affiliations

We have a lot of people who just pile on the metres and don't participate actively in the thread, but we're always welcome to new members.Dave Yes very welcome (and you are too anytime Dougie...

Hello Lindsay. I hope you can see this and trust you might recall me? I am coming to Sydney in April and wondered if I might be able to train with you at all? I shall only be there 6 days but would that be possible do you think? Cheers Geo Hi George I always remember guys who kick my butt - especia...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

It's no fun getting old............ There would be quite a few posting here seeing 61 as their younger years. Hopefully, the next decade will be kind to you. 60 to 70 can be a bit of a rough haul. The mind is willing but the body does not go along at times. My thoughts exactly Jim (and Nick). Spend...

Re: Pete Plan Strength Training

Thanks for adding another data point here. From looking at it, and reading the materials, I don't see the standard PP as a 2k peaking program with all the aerobic work and no taper. Am I missing something? In the instructions, Pete says it's a "continuous training plan," "a training plan with a goo...

Re: Pete Plan Strength Training

Hi Will FWIW I have been training to race for ten years pretty seriously (in a modest old guy way) and have included a fair bit of weights over the past 30+ years in the gym. Pretty much average 5 sessions a week right through this time. Weights have been secondary of course and a bit random. I incl...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

It's no fun getting old............ Not sure it is quite that bleak Nick - there are compensations I reckon and a good training session is always "fun" (and a 10y milestone post cancer is a pretty big deal) Friday PM 1k @2:10 10x 3'/1'R @1:52.3 df128 sr28 mhr167 247w 1:53.7, 8x @1:52.2, 1:52.0 1k @...
