Re: Bad knee, first time on PM5

for me the it is amazing how knee friendly the erg is. Mine are pretty advanced OA but still allow 50k a week and maybe a 7:15 2k at current fitness levels. Top end power really does go first though

A friend said stay under 2 mins per and try to do 10 sets and so that’s what I’ve done almost every time ...

Re: Forum Flyers

Anyone in touch with Lindsay Hay recently? Last post 11/5. No blabbermouth but very regular poster to training, weight loss, FF pages. Not the sort to go walkabout. hi jack and thanks for missing me! Steve Ockerby sent me a RUOK? text this morning after seeing your post. I have been MIA for over we...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Thanks mate as well as you Stu I’m hoping it’s just the weather. I’m a Brit too so anything over 20 hot for me even though I’ve lived here 11 years. I’ll plough through the 2km tomorrow and hope I finish before I self combust. Then might work on base building for the next few months. I do feel that...

Re: Looking for a Team (I think)

Thanks for the reply. Is there any sort of protocol for joining a team? I am competitive, but that’s not the reason for me wanting to join a team at all. I just think it would be good to chat with guys, get involved in some friendly comps, banter and challenges and would help motivate me to improve...

Re: A discussion about rowing "SPI"

Rocket Roy Brook became a world champion and world record holder with Paul as his coach. And so did Dennis Hastings. I wish Paul Smith was still on the forum offering good advice. The other guy I remember Rick was an Irish guy Jonathan Davis (40+lwt) I think was his name who embraced the whole thin...

Re: How can I improve my 2k in 2 years

13year old boy, 104 lb , 5 ft 2 in and I row a 10 min 2k My main goal was in 2 years to get a 6:20 2k hearing it’s a holy grail but I don’t even know if this is even possible and if so how would I get to my goal like that. It is nice to have goals but they have to be realistic and achievable and it...
