Re: Bicep distal brachial tendon
The recovery from a full tear and surgery was long and painful. I can relate with the "Dark" place especially since I couldn't even pick up a coin from the table. IT DOES GET BETTER. Squeezing a soft gel ball helped with the pain. Indian Clubs helped a lot .. Start by holding the pin at 12:00 and co...

Re: Bicep distal brachial tendon
I also had a partial tear and 2 weeks later my eye glasses were falling and when I reached to grab them, Whamo, full tear. Had the surgery and coming from the point from not able to pick up a coin I can say that my arm now is stronger than ever. It was a longer process than I imagined, but don't des...

Add the "Sync" button to the main screen in Ergdata
It sure would be nice to not have to swipe to the 3rd screen just to sync my workout.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Best HR transmitter for C2 PM5: Garmin or Polar?
Best is relative .. Do you want to to connect to the PM5 and another device at the same time? then you need one that supports ant+ and Bluetooth LE. Do you like chest straps? Optical? Me, I chose the Polar OH1 optical. I wear it on the arm by my triceps and don't even realize I'm wearing it and tota...

Re: PM5 ErgData and multiple users
Once paired with the 2 phones, Will the pm5 automatically connect to either phone depending on who is rowing?

Curious, How much did you sell the Model A for? I upgraded to a Model E earlier in the year and still have my original Model A sitting in the corner.

Re: Noob - Hello
Welcome to the club ... I haven't followed the interactive weight loss plan, but I have lost weight rowing ... At this point, I wouldn't worry about any benchmarks ... that can come in the future. 137bpm, 17spm at 2.30pace looks fine, but see if you can go up a couple of strokes to 19 and still main...

Re: Sweat proof bandages to prevent Achilles blisters... ?
I'll second the Vibram KSO's .. My originals finally wore out and I replaced them with the KSO Evo Cross Training Shoe. These have speed lacing, a little more padding in the achilles area and a rubber sole with no padding that will rob you of power at the catch.

Re: Hola everyone
I can attest to what Alan has said ... Although I find it very hard not to exceed 130bpm. I moved on to The Borg Scale of Perceived Exertion https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/borg-scale/ The scale seems very accurate for me .. I row 13000 meters (a little over 60 minutes) with a 140 bpm. ...

Re: What is important?
if you do a 2:20 500m for 30 minutes then I would slow it down to 2:30 and see how long you can row (set a target for 1 hour). I was like you .. 2:15-2:20 500m for 30 minutes was about all I could do .. at 2:30 I row 13000 meters at a 18-20 srm 4-5 times/week. Per other threads, I wear a hrm and kee...

Re: Type of oil for the rower chain
It seemed that Jon's 1st choice was the SAE 20 oil .. Which would be the 3-in-one Motor oil. I sent an email to the WD-40 company asking what the differences are between the Motor and Multi Purpose oils.

Re: Type of oil for the rower chain
I was looking into the 3-in-one oil .. but the one I had was a Multi Purpose without any SAE indication. I found that 3-in-One Motor Oil is rated SAE 20 and can be found in HW stores and Amazon in the US.
