Re: Pete Plan Thread

Hi all It was PP 2.3 today: 4 x 2000m / 5min rest Previous split from the last time I did this session on May 26 was 2:07.6. Pleased with this although I did got a bit of irritating phlegm on my chest in the last interval which slowed me down a bit as I tried to clear it! (sorry about the detail) ht...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Hi Mike good to hear from you again, hope you are back on the PP soon. I’m enjoying it and I think I’ve got some way to go before I hit the buffers. Janet welcome. What Mike said! Key thing is nail the technique and good things will follow. Your splits will improve with no increase in fitness if you...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Slightly off topic but I took the day off work and went to my first ever mountain biking coaching session today. I’ve been riding for 25 years and I now know how much I’ve been doing wrong!! Anyway I managed to slightly sprain my right ankle doing a 3 foot drop so I may be off the PP for a couple of...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

I do all the PP sessions including the steady distance sessions - just not necessarily within a week. I think it’s more important to do all the sessions including the steady states rows than try and keep everything within a calendar week then skip sessions if you don’t have time.

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Hi Mike much appreciated...yes I had to take a full day off doing anything after that one! 19:40 is more in line with my current 2K of 7:26 (according to Paul's Law anyway).

Hope you're rowing well whatever you're doing

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Thanks Bob! Did 8K steady (PP 1.2) yesterday (2:18.9) Did PP 1.3 - 5 x 1500m / 5min rest today. My iPhone crapped out half way through so ErgData did not capture the row, so I had to take a picture and manually update the logbook...previous average from mid June was 2:05.2 https://imagizer.imageshac...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

yep thanks Andrew...hopefully it'll stick this time. I did the beginners Pete Plan pretty religiously, 5 sessions a week and it was great. Maybe I was just Pete planned out and needed something different. I'm also a regular MTBer and the UK weather this summer has been superb with dry trails so the ...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

hi all, just wanted to check in and say hello. I've been on the erg a fair bit over the summer, not on the Pete Plan but doing various workouts from the Erg Book which is pretty good and provides variety , but some of the so called easy rows are hard and vice versa. I inadvertently came off my mount...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Thanks Mike that’s an interesting post. I have actually completed the beginners Pete plan and found it to be at about the right level of challenge for me at the time. I have since gone onto the full PP but something about it doesn’t really grab me and I have dropped out a couple of times, so maybe t...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Glad you're back Robert! Robert, have you thought about doing the 5K PP? Your strength is still very strong (likely much stronger than I am) but your cardio is lacking currently. The full PP is good for cardio but I feel meters or perhaps a plan like the 5K PP would build your cardio back quicker. ...
