Re: Ankles and Knees

If possible straight, but if you look otw, you have 1 and 2 oar rowing, with very different strenght vectors on the body. Re strenght, having 45/55% strenght per leg is very normal, I think 48/52 is about close to perfect. Would not worry to much, only if you really see wierd angles, maybe have a cl...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Congrats Martin, but keep working on it, compared to your speed this is still a different level. Hf? Relative low numbers, is this your max? Which very well could be, some people have low hf numbers. But if not you can push harder. In a “perfect” 10k, imo, the forth 2k will be the slowest, this will...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Thanks for the replies Stu, Henry, Martin - I'll aim for something like 7:15-7:20 next time I try this then and have 5 minute rest. FWIW just had a look back to my brush with the PP in 2016 - my numbers were pretty close to yours - 1k @1:36, 2k @1:42 and 5k @1:50 Did 4x 2k/5'R @1:50.5 with the last...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Thanks for the replies Stu, Henry, Martin - I'll aim for something like 7:15-7:20 next time I try this then and have 5 minute rest. That will work, use the last rep to push it a bit. This session can be really nasty, it can be used to build mental strenght. Its not so much about the absolute speed,...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

2k warm up followed by 4x2000 with 4 minute rest. It seems people do 5 mins rest so might try that next time. Wasn't sure how to pace it so aimed for 7:30 2k and made each one. Would describe it as 'not that difficult, but not a breeze either' and think I could drop a bit. I enjoyed the longer inte...

Re: Stroke Rate

Hello, I've been looking at a no. of workout sessions and notice them suggesting stroke rates often around 24, my stoke rate is way higher, see below, this is steady session and you can see the S/R is around 40 which is typical for all my sessions. Does this point to me doing something fundamentall...

Re: Weight adjustment

Inside my almost 90 kg bod there's a 70 kg erger (at a guess) trying to get out. Which should I use for sums? Indeed, weights itself is only one factor, being fat, will never be usefull, watts per kg are usefull for say cyclists, but those guys are lean. And here we see guys getting WEAKER, when th...

Re Lowpull/max pace.

Pace on the pm versus pace on Ergdata. Don,t know whats the difference, but on Ergdata its a bit lower, not massive, but tye watts I see on the pm, are not recorded via Ergdata. Numbers are lower.

New PB for 60min! +260m. Was aiming for @2:12 before I sat down, but going a bit faster felt fine, then I just carried on to the bitter end. 1:00:00.0 13,735m 2:11.0 156 835 25 10:00.0 2,286m 2:11.2 155 832 25 20:00.0 2,287m 2:11.1 155 833 24 30:00.0 2,280m 2:11.5 154 828 24 40:00.0 2,285m 2:11.2 1...

Re: Newbie Question

Re Film, even looking yourself could be usefull. No direct need to show it publicly.

As a beginner you can really look at your technique, there are no flaws ingrained yet, so use this to your advantage.

Re: Am I "overtrained"?

Hi Folks, Beginning in November of ’18 through early March this year I did Pete Plan type training, capping off with a 2K time trial, in which I PR’d. During that time I would frequently do 10K rows at 20 spm with heart rate capped at upper limit of UT2, and would usually average around 2:06 to 2:0...
