Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Some great trainings here! @Stu: We all know you have it in you, it just wasn't the right day, and this incredible volume you do atm must have an effect too. Next time for sure :) 5x1500/5'R today, target was all sub 1:46. Good effort, but felt harder than I hoped for. Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr ...

Re: Forearm Soreness

Was actually looking to get one of those but yet to select one. Which one did you get? It's called Fitindex, and from what I can tell it's the same power rating as a (much more expensive) Theragun. I usually only use it on 14/20, so it's really powerful. I've just checked and it's back up to Β£83, b...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Once more a training without real goal. Back and legs were still a bit sore from some weight training, but OK, decided on 1' R30 and SPI 20, the first interval was good but 1m too short, the second was terrible, even after 5' rest I had to slow down in the second half. Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

I had a go at my first 60 minute row this evening. It's the first time I've been past 10k or 38 minutes. All things considered, it went very well. All I planned to do was 16k, so a 1:52.5/500m split time. I went off the blocks slightly faster than that, committed myself to a modest neg split throug...

It was 1:28 R30, but only for about 100m :D
That is mind boggling how you can hold that pace, rowing strapless, for one stroke nevermind 100m
:) Fits my strengths, I have the same feelings looking at your HM PB right now

This is possibly my proudest PB, as I was only hoping for getting 1:18.00, and in my wildest dreams I was hoping for 1:17.30. Eyes closed for the vast majority of it, so I didn'...

Re: Concept 2 rankings.

I think the same way as Henry. Having a quick look at the rankings for our age class, there are some great athletes who not only have ranked efforts, but also post their trainings on Insta, with sreenshots, sometimes vids (Jason Marshall, Tim Grohmann, Andi Tomlinson, Justin Farina, Chris Scott, Cam...

Re: A section for training journals?

I've always logged my training when I've been doing any sport. I find it useful to refer back to and motivational to read other peoples logs. Could we please have a training journal section on the forum? I enjoy the 'what training have you done today?' section but find it extremely difficult to kee...

Re: Propped up the back of my c2 rower

Thank you everyone for your responses. Maybe I should have said this before. he and I decided to have a rowing challenge for who could do more meters for this month. Maybe he's saying that propping up the back of my concept to rower gives me an advantage? Also he was saying that maybe I am not havi...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Did the CTC today......must say it was pretty miserable. Was happy to meet my goal (barely) of avg. sub 1:30 but it crushed me and never felt comfortable. I think I need to do more short intervals to get ready for World Indoor Sprints as I am way less comfortable on the shorter stuff than I used to...
