Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

No training today as my glutes are still complaining about the HM on Sunday......Question for you experienced folk....should I continue to row gently while it's like that or take more time off the erg completely? :? I would avoid to stop erging for more than one day unless I'm ill, but depending on...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Scrappy row this evening.. fancied something longer but just ran out of energy after 30 mins :( stuffed down some grapes (all I had to hand no bananas) then managed to do another 1/2/2 km in order to get the meters in. Probably just too long since lunch - didn't fancy eating when got home and then d...

My wife told me not to be a sook and just get on with it. Very happy that she did. Practising really pushing hard at the catch (dec...

Re: Lunchtime workout advice

There is always the Concept2 workout of the day. They offer short, medium and long versions every day. Short probably good for a lunchtime to give time for getting changed. You can choose the intensity yourself. More info on their web page:

Re: PM5: tranferring all workouts to USB flash drive

You are right, I'd never actually tried it being a HWT... but just finished a session and tried it with the 4 pieces I had to upload off my stick. After going into the settings and ticking Lightweight, the boxes arent ticked  I can only suggest contacting Concept2... if you press the Feedback b...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Really happy with this result. Three weeks of injury in the middle of my training really derailed my chances of a PB and I was expecting a 6:45. I struggled a bit with the last 200m as I was too far behind the next fella and too far ahead of the fella behind me and some fella finished and flopped o...

Re: PM5: tranferring all workouts to USB flash drive

Are you just doing this so you can transfer to the online logbook? If you have an A-B USB cable, then just install the Concept2 Utility on your PC. Plug the flat end into the PC and square end into the C2, Run up the utility. You can then upload all the workouts in one go to your online logbook. The...

Re: This Holiday Challenge is Grueling

It is! 9 days down... my knees are feeling decidedly like going on strike. Last year was my first Holiday Challenge and had only just started erging. I am making life more difficult for myself by trying to beat last years total in 6 less days  It's tough. That's why they call it a "challenge" ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Had to be woken up at 9.30pm reminding me to do my rowing  ..almost decided to give it a miss but the holiday challenge dragged me down to the garage. Did a 'just row' as didn't know how far as I was going to get and set off at my MP ...and just carried on... 16067m @ 2:06.4 for the session to...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

What was your last year's total? 6 days less is a lot, good luck for that! Tell me about it!!... 282.5 last year in 33 days, meaning I have to average 10464m/day this year over 27 days  The alternative I thought about was beating last years daily average which takes the number of days out of...

...hopefully the dry warm air won't take too much of a toll

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Good you struggled through Dino! The low rate pieces are hard, but great, I love them! :D I like the slow burn too of low rate. I am trying to beat last years Holiday Challenge total, but as Thanksgiving is a movable holiday, the period is I think 6 days shorter this year so its going be a struggle...
