Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Many thanks for the HM congrats guys. Curious if anyone has any hydration strategy advice ahead of doing longer distances like this to avoid cramping. Other difficulty I had was arse getting quite numb towards the end! I had a folded towel for padding to sit on. Do any others use anything else to ma...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
New 15k PB! 1 hour 2 minutes 51 seconds! Going to have a first attempt at a half marathon I think today, fingers crossed I manage it! Well done, but you're not going to do a HM on the same as a 15k PB are you? Have I misread that? Ah, the 15k pb was a couple of days ago. In other news, first ever h...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Back to 10k from the 2k attempts last week. The good news is the 2ks gave me a better understanding of where the hard limits of my endurance are, which led to a 10k pb today!

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Good article, had a read and had another attempt tonight. Much more consistent but still felt like dying! 7.33.4 and the cliff was much smaller and only really arrived in the last 30 seconds this time. Will upload stats tomorrow on pc. Wow, an 8 second improvement just with a different approach. We...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
As Henry says start off at 1:55 (your average pace) and then see how you go. You should be able to hold the average pace, and you won't have the added pressure of freaking out your 'inner chimp' and it telling you that you're going to die! I'm impressed that you kept going, and didn't HD, as that's...

Broke my knee in 2018 - 1 MILLION METERS TODAY!
In February 2018, I broke my left tibia plateau skiing (basically my knee). Two operations, 3 months of not walking, 2 months of physio and one conversation with my surgeon telling me not to run for exercise ever again later, I decided to start rowing again for the first time in probably 15+ years s...
