Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

5k PB - 18:03,3 - -7,5'' I wasn't sure if I should do this TT today or not as my son woke up at 5, so poor sleep, and a little cough, but I decided to go for it. Target was sub18, but I paced up too late. With an all out last 500m 18:01.x were possible, but as sub18 was out of reach a fast last 500...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

I decided to exorcise some demons from Tuesday's session and re-row 4x2000m/4'R  . This time I got it done and just about to target (1:53). Interval 4 was a beast and it took a lot out of me to focus on not HD'ing as at one point it was drifting with 1:56's-1:59's on the monitor :? 30:11.8 ...

Re: chain slip on C3?

I had this on the machines at the work gym....and we have a glass partition behind the rowers so that was a fun splat as I flew backwards.

Dunno what they did but I believe they just greased her up and put her back into action.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Such a fine line between real warning pain and uncomfortable pain. It will always be a struggle to really know and coupled with not being mentally set it can easily derail you on any given day. There are no easy solutions other than trusting your gut feeling and being mindful of when you're feeling...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Long and slow session this morning to recover a bit from intervals yesterday. I programmed it as 3km intervals with zero rest just to con my brain into not watching the distance. Probably could have done more if time had allowed but work duties called. 15,000m, 1:05:10.3, average 2:10.3@21 More inte...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Pacing looks good, maybe a little bit too fast for only 4'R. Why did you pace up for the 3rd interval, doing 4 at 1:52-1:52.5 pace should have been possible  My knee was starting to ache and my HR was heading north....lame excuses I know  . I'm going to repeat this or a 4x8' tomorrow mo...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Planned for 4x but caved after 3 🙄...when Ergdata asked are you finished I dithered and it decided for me! 🤬...I was heading for max HR anyway and felt a solid 3 was better than a crappy 4th. Need more steady state to build the base again as this is a world away from a sub 18 5km 🙁 10' warmup 10' co...

Re: C2 Seat Pads

The holes for the sitz bones may not be in the right place to match your anatomy or it may just be a case of HTFU. HTFU? Google it and STFU. :D I just use a folded hand towel. Works better than all these highly touted aftermarket POS. Gotcha...a folder towel didn't help me...in fact it made botty b...

Re: C2 Seat Pads

Mine came with holes in....nothing to remove  .....it was from the C2 website I like that it doesn't slide about on the seat meaning a better connection. Just need to see if my current botty bums ache is related  Mine are from the C2 site too but the circles/holes have a cut-out that I...

Try turning it round the right way (cut-out at the rear of the seat).

That's the way I have it...I think it may be the 2 holes where the sitz bones go....around that area is more aching than without.

C2 Seat Pads

So I got myself a C2 seat pad after trying one out and I am actually finding my arse is more numb than without it  .....do they need time to soften up? First use was Thursday last week and I've had a bit of sciatic pain since then. Can't be sure it's the pad but wondering if others have had s...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Not feeling the rowjo at the moment....but sticking roughly to the BPP the start of week 17 was 10.5km. I decided on 4x3000m/1'R instead.....not sure why I chose that tbh and not having a real plan was a bit crap. Decided to row the first piece at a steady rate, the next at R18, then one rated up a...
