Re: Forum Flyers

I’d reckon the pacing is around 2k + 3 or 5k - 1. Hope this helps! Interesting. Should 2k and 5k pace only be 4secs apart? Then I am really off. Did it yesterday at 2k +2, which is 5k -6. I could probably do both faster by now though Flu/Covid in Dec blew me away a bit and the the cough has taken a...

Re: Forum Flyers

Just doing what I can when I can. As my university schedule has lightened recently, I have had time for five 100k pieces at an almost mind numbingly slow (for me) pace. I plan to do a couple more 100k pieces this month along with a slightly reduced ‘normal’ mileage. I can't even imagine what that f...

Re: Starting BPP?

Hi Theresa, Congrats on the Holiday challenge 100k. I don't think you need more convincing to start the BPP. Just wanted to say that I'm rooting for you. I have just finished week 9, and it's actually going much better than expected. Don't get intimidated by the endurance distance; all that happens ...

Re: Weightloss

Hi Steve,
I have found this: http://3.8.144.21/weightloss/interactive in a different threat a while ago. Haven't used it myself so can't comment on the effectiveness, but I like how you can enter weight and goals. Might be a nice start for inspiration until you get more qualified answers.
Greetings

Re: Forum Flyers

For the current CTC, what pace would you recommend? I've heard 2k -2. Was curious what it worked out to for others. Haven't typically done intervals but I did a preprogrammed one today (ugh!) and it went alright. Will tackle the CTC soon. I think you will be a faster than the 2:04. I did it in 2:06...

Re: Forum Flyers

Hi, You are advertising so nicely in other threats, I thought I ask directly here if can join you. I’ve only started rowing end of last year and am surprised that I am still at and actually enjoying it. I feel I need to get back to rowing some more again now that the warm days of summer are over – t...

Re: Reasonable goal setting advice

Hello, Thanks for the kind words Boomingaway. That is very encouraging. I will think about if I need more structure in my rowing or if I just keep messing around  Lawteamrunner, I do enjoy reading your reply. I was also rowing at a high spm and kept wondering how people talking about 18-22 spm...

Re: Reasonable goal setting advice

Hi Jillian, I have been debating to post and ask the pretty much same question. So, no answer here, but I can share some of my times, so you can compare yourself to a real normal person  . I’m 37F, 163 cm (guess that’s about 5’3). I have started rowing last year in November, after work on Frid...
