Thanks, Carl. You really do know all!
[edit: Never mind--the figure 3232004 is likely the date the PM3 was produced.]

lifetime meters on PM3
Hi all. I am such a big fan of my erg and bike-erg that I bought a used Model D, an older one (2004) with a PM3, for my son. However he's a confirmed gym and weights guy, didn't use the rower, so gave it back to me and I'm going to put it up for sale. I would like to list the lifetime meters in my a...

Re: Durability of rower
Citroen has you covered on your specific question, but I just want to add that if you are on Facebook, there is a group called 'Concept 2 Community' where you'll find a lot of support. You're not the first one to use rowing to come back from injury or surgery and resultant weight loss. Good luck!

Re: PM3 Monitor memory
So you're cutting off your nose to spite your face for $6.50. Get a LogCard you won't regret it. https://shop.concept2.com/accessories/29-indoor-rower-logcard.html A bit harsh, isn't it? The rower is for my son, so he'll decide if he wants to stick with the PM3 or upgrade. When he was living with u...

Re: PM3 Monitor memory
Thanks guys. Son has an iPhone so Android is not likely. But if the PM3 will save 10 workouts and he can then transfer them to his MacBook with the C2 Utility that'll likely do for now. I have a spare old printer (USB A to USB B I think) cable I'll give him. Firmware on the PM3 is almost certainly o...

PM3 Monitor memory
Hi all. I just bought an 'original' Model D c. 2004 for my son. Good condition, no rust, drag factor checks out. It has the PM3 monitor, which he may want to upgrade from. But for the time being I think the PM3 will be okay. I have a question about the memory. The old manual says that workouts can b...

Re: ergdata and apple watch
Developer says there is indeed an issue with using Echo BLE and Ergdata at the same time, that they have been able to replicate it but not fix it, however they are working on it. He'll update me and I'll update here.

Re: ergdata and apple watch
I've tried Echo BLE but find that while it connects between watch and PM5 just fine, it seems to block communication between PM5 and Ergdata. I can actually 'connect' Ergdata with the PM5, but Ergdata sits there 'Ready for Workout' and doesn't pick up anything from the row. I made sure to quit all o...

Re: ergdata and apple watch
Hey DoR: This is intriguing but does it interfere with connecting Ergdata to the PM5? I'm seeing above ^ that the PM5 can only handle one BT connection at a time so it seems like that could be an issue. Thanks! I bought the App "Echo BLE Heart Rate from Watch" in the AppStore. It transfers the Hearb...

Re: PM5 battery leak cleaned corrosion not working
Carl ^ is evidently a professional so if he says the monitor is completely dead that's likely it. The only last-chance thing I can suggest is to get a can of De-Oxit or similar electronics cleaner and see if that might possibly remove some element of corrosion you didn't get to manually. As you said...

Re: Rubbery 'threads' coming off pulley...shock cord fraying?
The shock cord took over a week to reach me as FedEx evidently decided it needed a nice long rest in Londonderry, NH (actually weather slowed up their whole system). As I expected, the 'ten minute' job to replace it took at least twice that as I puzzled things out, but would be very easy next time. ...

Re: Chilblains ("COVID-toes") due to staying at home
My wife is one of those adamant no shoes ever in the house types. Plantar fasciitis is killing me. I need to get a pair of shoes that never leave the house. But they invariably end up just being my next newest pair of shoes and I'm back to square one. For plantar fasciitis I found the Foot Wheel ma...

Re: The dreaded "schmutz" on the rollers
You need to find a shop that can do a proper setup on it, level the frets, adjust the intonation, etc. If that doesn't resolve the issue then look for someplace that can do a PLEK setup; I haven't had that done myself but hear it's the bee's knees. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Re: Rubbery 'threads' coming off pulley...shock cord fraying?
dstober, thanks for your thorough reply. Yep, exactly the same issue. New shock cord is on its way to me from C2 already. I got a nice email with an apology for the trouble and a shipping confirmation. Response time: a few hours. They're also sending some oil since I mentioned that the rower was com...

Re: Rubbery 'threads' coming off pulley...shock cord fraying?
I got my Erg late August 2020, but the serial number or something suggests it was from 2-3 months earlier production. Will certainly be in touch with C2 Monday. Seems like there is an issue with the white cords, as others have reported, and this erg has gotten relatively light use. Pulling the plast...
