I'm glad to have got an entry into this month's cross-team challenge as I'll be concentrating on running for the rest of this month. I just managed to post a CTC time before the month ran out. My rowing has taken a back seat as I've been busy recovering from an injury and focussing on my running but I'm happy to have squeezed into boat 2.

I'm inspired by other Flyers dealing with surgeries, injuries etc. and just keeping on going.

I'm with jackarabit. I intend to use the 20spm 2K as a warm-up then blast the 5K at a faster rate.

I'm much slower at 20 spm than 30+ so want that restriction for the shortest possible distance.

If the stroke rate doesn't affect you as much, the decision might be different...

Well Spike, tried CTC twice more.... only managed another 937m, but more evenly paced. Guess that's all i got for now! It's still a solid result. And you're still in the lead boat too. Got to be pleased with that... Even pacing might not have given you a better result but I bet it was less unpleasa...
