Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

Great job to everyone for the Holiday Challenge!! So cool to see the meters rack up every day. Concept 2 is a real class act for sponsoring events like this. And many thanks to K2 for running all the stats and making the challenge extra fun with the reindeer and swag. Seeing everyone’s efforts reall...

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

Whew - yesterday's Beti Bike Bash was the last big event of the cycling season for Bike Jeffco! The Beti Bike Bash is the only all women mountain bike races in the nation. They do have a mini race for coed minis - all on their Strider bikes. Truly an enjoyable sight! That looks like a pretty cool e...

Challenge participants are listed at 15,987 now...up only 475 people from yesterday. A trend change! Hmmmm. I did not expect this.

How does this compare to participation in previous years??

Re: Team Progress Thru 11.16.22

Kudos to Concept2 ! One thing about these Concept2 challenges (the ones that suddenly catch yer eye!) is that I keep discovering how awesome their redesign of the Ergdata app truly is AND how sortable the Concept2 folks have made the Honorboards for the WOD Challenges . It was with some dismay that...

Re: Polar H9 issues: displaying low heart rate and negative trending rate

I've been having the same problem this past week with inaccurate heart rate. Works fine at first (for 4-5 minutes) then drops steadily and stays low for a while before bouncing back to where I would expect it to be ... does this several times over the course of an hour workout. I've been using this ...

Re: RowErg sitting on SkiErg floor stand ?

How close ? As much as possible while still allowing rowing and skiing comfortably. Things to look out for: clearance for the elbows and the back at the end of the drive any bending in the skierg floor stand (wooden board) due to rowerg+rower weight anything you notice Don't feel obliged, but if yo...

Anybody with the two machines (rowerg and skierg) willing to give it a try ?
I could give this a try if you want. Let me know how close you'd like the RowErg rail to the SkiErg fan. I'm about your height, so I would guess my rowing stroke is similar to yours.

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

I'm slacking with the meters lately ... sorry about that.
Its gravel and mountain biking season here, making it tough to erg on a daily basis. Got to enjoy the weather outside while I can :)

Re: Team Progress Thru 9.22.22

And just as a safety announcement, we're seeing more and more kids on electric scooters in this area...and they're on neighborhood streets - especially those with some really tempting hills where you can zooooom along. Since evenings are still mild, kids are out in twilight time and they are going ...

Re: 50Plus - New Team

Just thought I'd post up the 50plus World Erg Challenge results if anyone is interested. Could be some minor changes as I think meters can be entered as late as the 18th. Anyway ... We finished in 32nd place with a total of 6,623,644 meters rowed!! We had 50 members registered for the challenge, wit...

Re: Struggling

Thanks for all your advice guys, I’m not happy with my numbers at all, clearly something isn’t right. I’m 5’10 but very broad. I will persevere and check in. Anyone else in the mid 50’s getting similar stats ? Any good recommendations or links to sites/videos greatly appreciated I often get numbers...

Re: Struggling

I'm of similar circumstances - 55yrs and was at about 215# at the beginning of the year. I made my best progress in weight loss by doing daily long rows - at least 40 minutes long or more, and at a lower intensity (heart rate capped near 180-age). I have also been closely monitoring my caloric intak...

Re: Weight loss plans

Hi, I am a 55yo Male ... lost 27 lbs so far since Mid-January. Changed my dietary habits to 4 meals a day of 4-500 calories, generally clean foods - meats, veggies, fruits. Really tried to cut back on processed foods. I had been doing intermittent fasting but I think the smaller more frequent meals ...
