Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
5k PB today. Did a better job of keeping the rate high than I have been lately. Really struggled to stay consistent on the splits through the middle, saw a lot more 1:39s than I would have liked, but I made up for it with a strong last 1000m. https://i.imgur.com/I95n51n_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=th...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
A while ago, despite regularly doing 10 miles on a Monday morning, and having done erg ultra distance training in former years, I would struggle getting past 18k. There's something about getting past 15-16k that seems to be a fairly constant issue for most of us. You've proved me wrong on this :win...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Hi everyone- Finally completed my first HM today, so by definition a new PB! My announced goal has always been to do a HM under 90 min, but my secret goal was to do it with a sub 2:00 pace.... and I was successful at that, so I’m pretty happy with the result. I targeted 203w the whole time and was ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Mixed it up with a CrossFit style piece today... five rounds of row 5:00, resting at least 3:30 but do 15 thrusters at 95# during the rest (I broke into two sets of 9+6). Originally I was thinking I could target 250w for the rowing, but after the first round i realized that was way too optimistic! I...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Man it’s so humbling looking at this forum, so many great efforts! That said, I did crank out a new 6k PR today, so this is the place to post it! Improved upon my old best, which was less than a month ago, by about 4 seconds. I was able to hit my target pacing of 235 watts (which was basically my ol...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
After trying and failing for my first HM last Friday, I took some rest and went for a one hour TT today. Was able to hit my target of 15k and beat my old PB by about 100m with 15,095m. Here’s the final line 1:00:00.0 15,095m 1:59.2 206 1010 24 My strategy was to try and average around 200w, as my la...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
My goal is a sub 1:30:00 HM... my best long piece is just short of 15k for an hour, so I think my capacity could be there but my hammies and glutes are just screaming... Thanks for any advice! A good stretch would be to get into a lunge position, rear knee on the ground, front knee out in front at ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Hi everyone, long time listener first time caller here. Tried to do my first half marathon today but called it after about 11k. I’m finding that I get very sore hamstrings in these longer pieces ( say after 6k I really start to feel it). Usually I can hang in there especially if I’m only going 40-60...
