Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

I just got my 500m PB, but I don't know what it is: according to the log book, I took 1:31.2, but my pace was 1:31.1!

I assume that the time is more accurate than the pace, but I am intrigued as to why there's a difference. Any ideas?

Re: 2021 goals

Have you ever tried step ups? If i do step ups to the height of my knee cap - i build power quickly and safely. In fact i'm doing it from tomorrow! 100 reps total. Funnily enough, I have recently started doing a few (having spent too long on YouTube and calculated that 17,000 reps would be equivale...

Re: 2021 goals

I'd like to break 7 for 2k.

No idea if it's possible, but the main step will be to build up a consistent base of mileage over the next six months. So that's the real target. Consistent weekly mileage with speed thrown in and occasional weights... without breaking myself.

Re: World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints

I get that it's a bit odd to train for such an event, but I definitely need competitions to get me off the sofa. I've tried training for health, rather than performance, but it's boring and makes me hungry. Not sure how to train for a 1k though. Going for a wolverine style approach with shorter long...

Re: Critque video

Looks like you are going too far forward at the catch. Your knees should be above your ankles. Any further might damage your knees.

Re: PM5 / ERG Data Lost half my workout

This happened to me this morning. I have the workout summary but not the intervals. I expect it was because ErgData was not on the phone screen the whole time. I deleted the entry from my log book with the intention of uploading it with the Concept 2 Utility, but it refuses to upload it, presumably ...

Re: YouTube inspiration?

Thanks both for the replies.

Training tall and dark horse come up when I search, but the YouTube algorithm has hidden those other names from me. I'll take a look. Thanks!

YouTube inspiration?

Hi All,

I've been enjoying Cameron Buchan's vlog on YouTube.

Got any recommendations for other YouTube rowing channels? In particular, any erg focused ones?

Many thanks.
